국민 성인돌로 각종 TV 예능 프로그램에서 큰 사랑을 받고 있는 나르샤가 드디어 첫 번째 솔로 미니앨범 ‘NARSHA’를 발매한다. 이번 나르샤의 미니앨범은 ‘Abracadabra’와 ‘Sign’으로 2009년 최고의 핫이슈였던 브라운아이드걸스 3집 ‘Sound-G’를 만든 조영철 프로듀서와 최고의 스텝들이 브라운아이드걸스에서 한 층 더 업그레이드 된 나르샤만의 음악을 완성해냈다.

타이틀곡 ‘삐리빠빠’는 일렉트로닉 장르의 하우스 비트에 팝적인 보컬라인이 잘 조합된 곡으로 트랙 전반부에는 미니멀한 신스사운드와 비트로 진행되다가 후반부로 갈수록 스케일감 있는 코러스가 몽환적으로 쌓여가는, 이제껏 듣기 힘들었던 스타일의 곡이다. 유럽 EP차트 1위를 차지한 바 있고 브라운아이드걸스 ‘Sound-G’에 수록된 ‘moody night’의 작곡가 east4A의 작품이다. 최신 사운드소스와 편곡 스타일이 돋보이며 도입부 반주를 흥얼거리듯 따라하는 '삐리빠빠' 파트가 인상적이다. 몽환적이면서도 감각 있는 곡답게 가사는 브라운아이드걸스의 ‘Abracadabra’, ‘Sign’등을 작사한 김이나 작사가 맡았다. 메인 테마는 '달콤한 악몽'으로, ‘사랑과 이별로 상처받기 싫은 사람들에게 감정 없는 가슴을 주겠노라’고 나르샤가 귓가에서 마녀처럼 유혹하며 속삭이는 듯한 표현들로 내용을 이룬다.

이 이외에도, 작곡가 hitchhiker의 미디움 템포의 일렉트로닉 곡 ‘FANTASTIC’, 기타 신동 정성하와 함께해 화제가 되며 선공개되자 바로 각종 음원사이트 상위권을 휩쓴 Ra.D의 리메이크곡 ‘I’m in love’, 작곡가 KZ, 작사가 D'Day의 빈티지 댄스곡 ‘QUEEN B’ 등이 수록되어 나르샤의 독특한 느낌을 잘 표현하고 있다.

“Bbiri Bbabba” is an amazing promotional track that I can’t stop listening to and re-watching the PV over and over again. This solo debut was really well thought out and I can clearly see the time and effort put into this production. I know some BEG fans were disappointed that Je.a wasn’t the one to do a solo debut, but Narsha does not disappoint at all. She really has great showmanship and vocal skills. Her stage presence clearly shows in her performances of this track.

“Fantastic” is also another track I adore on this mini-album. It has INTENSE bass (like Bi’s tracks or like the bass on MBLAQ’s ‘Y’). The sound feels like it could became a huge stage production with a slightly oldskool sound. The chorus just makes you want to jam. “Queen B” has a driving beat or like those in old mysteries/detective movies. The track is nicely mixed and the tempo is really upbeat.

Overall, the production of Narsha is amazing and I really recommend looking into her music and concepts. :)

 Narsha Strange and her haunting gothic Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Having old skool music tastes from the 70s/80s Narsha’s debut mini album brings visually and musically old favourites to mind in a nostalgic re-evoked sort of way. Narsah’s glam shock imagery (relating to main song Bbi-ri-bpop-a) features reflections of proto punk gothic, steampunk hairstyle and a haunting pseudo religious theme (with wisps of Emily Bronte) concerning a dark seductress angel seducing a ‘fallen man’ into sexual seduction and false redemption, making for an interesting and strongly visual music landscape. Narsha plays a duality of feline light/dark characters; a foxy pseudo nun, a ghostly white bride, a Lilith type dark angle of lustful desire with temptation on her mind and Narsha’s punky red freak haired ‘mad puppet doll’ (N’s album cover look) who seems torn between contrasting forces of light and dark. Similarly the man in the MV suffers thus.

“Bbi-ri-bpop-a” as a melody mix of electro funk reggae and a slight ska feel, some plinking electronic sounds and a heartfelt soul-funk with a RnB haunting refrain. A bit different certainly, but a pop melody you’ll be familiar with. This main song though isn’t the only creditable one. Opener “Fantastic” is the main soul-dance-diva number here and “Queen B” with its more mild rock and roll beat (not Bowie’s Queen B!?) and “Radio Star” are also worthy. “Radio Star” as a more familiar BEG sound and the ballad “I’m in Love” is welcoming with gentle acoustic guitar and vocals. “Mam-ma-mei-a” funnily provides a quick burst of some Hey Jude na-na-na na’s! Narsha sings beautifully with gentle alacrity and pleasantness.

The MV is exceptional (wot no music DVD?) and Narsha’s off the wall characters (or multiple personalities) are well crafted and impressive. With gothic inspired fun fashion clothing and glam make up Narsha’s a 3D digital texture map artists dream here. Although Lady GaGa as been cited, Narsha’s heavy black lace and black eye kohl brought punk priestess Sioux Sioux to mind and her blonde steam punk bride/red haired freak doll reminding me of 80s punk princess Toyah (with hints of Bowie/Steve Strange). Okay, musically this is all soul funk school mostly to what I’m saying and BEG fans will love Narsha’s songs and funky large photo book. Its great! As is Narsha artfully portraying a bit more clever stuff than usual. Dark themes of forgotten innocence transmutating towards sensual profanity, indeed, all reworked into a masquerade of ghostly gothic imagery. Narsha!

Narsha's first go at a solo career is by far the best i've seen in k-pop this album has it all from Bbi ri Bop a a great pop song that has a great video to match it and a perfect norah jones type of ballad im in love and a dancy club song queen B

It is evident that she pulled out all of her guns for this one.

The packaging is just stunning and i'm a k-pop collector and this is by far the best design i have seen. It must have cost A LOT and i mean A LOT of mulla to make this album.

Other highlights of this album was how she put the teaser for her follow up song in the album, the song is called mamma mia and it sound like a great pop song that might win her a number one ^^
watch her MVs and listen to im in love and trust me you're gonna want to but this album just of the it looks
and for $11 trust me its a good deal

I thought this was a bit of a strange type of album. The music was good of course(being narsha) but I just found the pictures a bit scary especially the cover since it reminded me a bit of a ghost.
Narshas makeup and hair and costumes cost over 3000 dollars for just one performance. She really pulled it all out for this solo album. You should buy this album and support her.
I personally liked all the songs
