After Forever the Moment turned women's handball into blockbuster material, another lesser known sport gets the inspirational movie treatment in Lifting King Kong (a.k.a. Bronze Medalist). Inspired by a true story, the enjoyable film stars Lee Bum Soo (More Than Blue) as an Olympics bronze medalist weightlifter who reluctantly becomes a coach at a girls' middle school after his retirement. He isn't too interested in teaching and the girls aren't too interested in learning, but the ragtag team begins to come around as faked enthusiasm turns to genuine camaraderie and medal dreams.
Leading man Lee Bum Soo does some singing to complement his weightlifting and inspiration mongering with the touching song "Love That Cannot Be" (Track 8). Helmed by The Chaser music director Kim Jun Seok, Bronze Medalist's 15-track OST also includes numbers from Jang So Yeon and Kim Ji Hye, as well as score instrumentals.

영화 <킹콩을 들다>는 2000년 전국체전에서 총 15개의 금메달 중 14개의 금메달과 1개의 은메달을 휩쓸었던 시골 고등학교 소녀 역사들의 사건을 모티브로 하여 극화되었다. 대회사상 전무후무한 기록을 세우며 신화가 된 소녀들과 세 명의 역도코치의 이야기를 바탕으로 실제 선수들의 다양한 경험과 지도자들의 이야기를 한데 버무려 진솔하고 감동적인 스토리로 만들어낸 <킹콩을 들다>는 단순히 감동적인 스포츠 영화 이상의 의미를 가지는 있다고 할수 있다.
고양이를 부탁해, 플란다스의 개, 추격자의 음악감독 이였던 김준석감독이 음악을 담당했으며 주인공인 이범수의 가창곡이 들어있는것도 앨범의 묘미라 할 수 있다
