1970년대의 여대생 소은과 2000년대의 남자 인이 나누는 시간을 초월한 삶과 사랑, 세상이야기를 따뜻한 시선으로 담아내고 있다. 그 환상적이면서도 동화 같은 분위기를 한층 더해주는 것은 바로 음악. 관객의 눈물이 아니라 그들의 정서와 향수로 가슴에 잔잔하게 다가가 좀 더 긴 여운으로 남는 사랑영화인 <동감>의 사운드 트랙.

1970년대는 피아노가 2000년대는 첼로가 맡아 같지 않으면서도 같은 듯한 분위기들을 이욱현 음악감독이 멋지게 담아내고 있다. 한때 유행처럼 번졌던 히트곡을 골라 영화에 삽입하는 진부한 작업 방식에서 벗어난 이 작품에서는 영화에 사용된 전곡이 이 영화만을 위해 만들어졌다. 게다가 이 영화의 중요한 시간 변화를 대표하는 두 파트(피아노, 첼로)를 각각 재즈 피아니스트 김광민과 세계적인 첼리스트 신상원이 연주함으로써 빛을 더 한다.
