Eun Ji Won Vol. 5 - Platonic

Eun Ji Won of Sechskies fame is releasing his first full-length album in almost five years. Personally involved with the completion of his new album, Eun invited his good friend Keeproots to be the producer of Platonic. Other collaborators on Eun's new album include Kim Se Jin who composed Wheesung's "In A Year", Loveholic's Kim Sang Hoon, and Tiger JK. The album's main song is Siren, an electro hip-hop number talking about the hardships of a guy in love with the girlfriend of his friend. Platonic also features the mellow love song Everything with female newcomer Gilme, and the rearranged versions of Adios and Dangerous.

1박 2일, 놀러와, 절친노트 등에서 보여줬던 버라이어티 예능의 이미지와는 180도 다른 모습을 보여주며 그의 터닝포인트가 될 이번 앨범이자, 4년 10개월 만에 발매되는 이번 정규 5집 앨범의 타이틀은 [Platonic]이다. 한국 최고의 힙합 프로듀서이자 은지원의 절친, 킵루츠 (KEEPROOTS)와 은지원 본인이 직접 기획부터 모든 곡 작업에 참여한 음반으로, 킵루츠는 은지원에도 마이티 마우스, 다이나믹 듀오, 리쌍, 라이머, MC몽 등 한국 최고의 힙합 가수들의 프로듀서를 맡아 왔으며 랩 선생님으로도 명성을 떨치고 있는 실력파이다. 그 외에도 린의 “사랑했잖아” F.T아일랜드의 “바래”, 휘성의 “일년이면”의 작곡가 김세진을 비롯 W&Whale로 활동 중이며 클래지콰이, 알렉스, 러브홀릭의 작곡가 김상훈, 한국 HIP-HOP계의 대부 Tiger JK등이 앨범에 참여하여 더욱 빛내주고 있다. "Siren“은 그리스 신화에 나오는 바다의 요정을 뜻하는데, 이 요정은 감미로운 노래로 지나가는 배의 선원을 섬으로 유혹하여 잡아먹었다는 전설이 있다. 타이틀곡 “Siren"외에도 개그맨 이수근이 Free style Gag로 Featuring에 참여한 재미있는 노랫말의 ”160“ 감미로운 멜로디와 실력파 신인 길미의 목소리가 돋보이는 Love Song "Everything" 외에도 많은 사랑을 받았던 싱글 수록곡인 “Adios"와 ”Dangerous"는 재편곡되어 수록되어 트랙 하나하나 버릴 곡 없는 알찬 음악들로 구성되어 있다.
