亦舒，原名倪亦舒，1946年生於上海，祖籍浙江鎮海，兩歲來港定居，曾就讀嘉道理小學、北角官小，中學畢業於何東女子職業中學，十五歲開始寫稿，第一篇小說刊登在《西點》，十七歲開始替明報寫稿，當時仍然是一位中學生。中學畢業後，曾在《明報》任職記者及擔任電影雜誌採訪記者和編輯。1973年，亦舒赴英國修讀酒店食物管理課程，三年後學成回港，任職富麗華酒店公關部，後進入政府新聞處擔任新聞官，做了七年便退下，當全職作家及家庭主婦，並移居加拿大。

Not as Good as "德芬郡奶油..."

There were some interesting details and stories here and there, but 亦舒 sort of lost focus in the big picture. I felt like reading several short stories in it. In the end, I didn't really know what my favorite author was trying to tell me. Was it a story about June and the male author her stepfather hired? Or, was it a story about her stepbrother's love for her? There were also the young doctor, the police officer, and even her stepfather, etc, etc.... My conclusion was: It was a story about a beautiful woman and her men; but 亦舒 didn't pull the story in the right place and didn't connect her different men together like her previous book "德芬郡奶油." She didn't write enough to describe June's feelings and emotions. We knew very little about June's background, personality, character, and that made it hard for her readers to feel for the protagonist. I know that 亦舒 is trying on some knew topic and style; and she should, after some two hundred books written. As 亦舒's reader, I'll wait patiently for her next book, a better one... |
