Two of Hong Kong's finest stars are undoubtedly Maggie Cheung Man-yuk and Jacky Cheung. Their versatility and ability in virtually any genre is unparalleled, so when the two appear in the same film together, it is cause for celebration. 《南北妈打 (香港版)》: hilarious!
| 张曼玉 (Maggie Cheung) and 张学友 (Jacky Cheung), plus 沈殿霞 (Lydia Shum), 邓碧云, 董骠 (Bill Tung), 廖伟雄 and the supporting cast are quite funny in the Hong Kong film of 1988. I watched this film on the Celestial Movies Channel (part of "Jadeworld" Chinese pay t.v. in Sydney and the rest of Australia). It was broadcasted on midnight (4th (Sunday night)/5th (Monday morning) of March, 2007). Some lovely gags, some hilarious dialogue, great slapstick, parody and satire (please correct me if I'm wrong on these comedic terms. Ta). I hope you'll enjoy the film as much I did. Please continue acting in films, 学友, whenever you find the time, a good script, a good cast, and a good director. I'll continue to suppport you until you decide to retire from Chinese showbiz. |
