1991年王晶出品的动作猛片《惊天12小时》，乃两大香港歌手及演员谭咏麟、刘德华合演，他们演出合作无间，当中计有作品如∶《龙之家族》(1988)、《至尊计状元才》(1990)、《富贵兵团》(1990)、《至尊无上》(1991)等。这次在 《惊天12小时》中两大巨星更与梁家仁、曾志伟和罗美薇携手主演。这套动作片有不少的冲突和动作画面，拍摄精彩。
电影讲述日本赤军渗入新加坡，执行暗杀到访的啦嘛达卡。大B(刘德华饰)是香港黑社会的人物，其女友与啦嘛达卡的血型完全相同，结果同遭中伏受伤。为了救回女友，大B和香港反恐怖专家雷泰(谭咏麟饰)及新加坡特警石头(梁家仁饰)联手，护送唯一血型和啦嘛达卡相同的肥波(曾志伟饰)往医院，却不能避过赤军的追杀……

The Japanese terrorists deader that they are going to kill Daka Lama when he visits Singapore Singaporean CID Stone and the interpol officer Ray are designated to protect Daka, But Daka is finally seriously hurt by the terrorist. At the same time, a Hong Kong tourist, Ling, who is born the same date as Daka, is also wounded. Both patients need blood donation. But as they are of a special blood group, only three people in Singapore can help. They need the blood latest by 11:00 pm. An urgent search for the blood donors, both by the police and the terrorists, thus begin....
