電腦網絡公司創作總監Joker (吳彥祖飾)在Disco認識了女酒保玲 (李心潔飾) 後，視她為虛擬偶像princess-d的藍本。現實中的玲有個被判終身監禁的父親，時而清醒時而痴呆的母親，及不務正業的弟弟，完美的偶像形象只是對她的諷刺。另一方面Joker的弟弟Kid (陳冠希飾) 讀書不成，發白日夢反是他的強項，於是他負責為Joker提供五花八門的鬼主意，三人一起成立一個小型創作小組，發展虛擬偶像princess-d。只是理想好像總要跟他們作對，Joker多番推銷princess-d失敗，玲為了替父親及弟弟還債而要為黑社會運毒……
When Joker (Daniel Wu) meets Ling (Lee Sin Je) in a disco one night, he feels that he has found the perfect model of his dream project princess-d. Bases on the image of Ling, he plans to create a novel virtual idol on the internet. In reality, however, Ling is the opposite of the perfect image. Her father is jailed for life, her mother remains half-conscious after an attack, and her brother holds no proper job but only wants to make himself known in the gang. Together with Joker's younger brother Kid (Edison Chen), the trio works hard toward their goal while problems keep running out of hand...

A piece of Pop Spunk Digital Fantasy mirroring rea

At first I thought this film would be about the creation of a digital cyber idol that magically transforms herself to reality. However the approach they took about this film was indeed an original concept creating each charcater believable to the viewer. Angeline Lee is gorgeous in this film. She has that spunkiness and charismatic charm that shines through her character in Princess D. Her eyes just glows! Edison is his usual westernised asian dude who is lazy, on his headphones too much and tends to be a loser in his chosen career, office boy. Daniel WU is just gorgeous from his accent to his stunning eyes as a CGI animator who has an ambitious idea for the perfect Cyber girl. A spunky film with gorgeous characters but nothing more than that to make you want to watch this again. |

| i think this movie is one of the better ones produced in hong kong in recent years, it is not a great movie, but it is worthy to watch, better than some silly comedies,the one thing that we all should pay attention to it's the meaning of some aspects of the movie, like what does the Princess-D mean for each character,and it was my first time to c Angelina Lee,and i was surprised that she act so well,she will become one of the best actress |

very good
| I like all the acting played by the actors in this movie. Edison is surprisingly good and a natural. The scenes and conversations between the actors are very real, it's like talking and hearing your friends talking. Daniel WU is very good though. I don't know why most people think he cannot act. The fact that he's cute doesn't negate his talent. Angelica Lee is very natural and spunky. And the supporting casts are very good too. I really feel like the people who act as a family are really family. Especially the relationships portray by Daniel, Edison and their Dad. I had give this movie a 10 becuase it is a very sincere and touching movie. Everyone should have a dream, a dream that makes everything all worthwhile. |
