A piece of Pop Spunk Digital Fantasy mirroring rea

At first I thought this film would be about the creation of a digital cyber idol that magically transforms herself to reality. However the approach they took about this film was indeed an original concept creating each charcater believable to the viewer. Angeline Lee is gorgeous in this film. She has that spunkiness and charismatic charm that shines through her character in Princess D. Her eyes just glows! Edison is his usual westernised asian dude who is lazy, on his headphones too much and tends to be a loser in his chosen career, office boy. Daniel WU is just gorgeous from his accent to his stunning eyes as a CGI animator who has an ambitious idea for the perfect Cyber girl. A spunky film with gorgeous characters but nothing more than that to make you want to watch this again. |

i think this movie is one of the better ones produced in hong kong in recent years, it is not a great movie, but it is worthy to watch, better than some silly comedies,the one thing that we all should pay attention to it's the meaning of some aspects of the movie, like what does the Princess-D mean for each character,and it was my first time to c Angelina Lee,and i was surprised that she act so well,she will become one of the best actress |

I like all the acting played by the actors in this movie. Edison is surprisingly good and a natural. The scenes and conversations between the actors are very real, it's like talking and hearing your friends talking. Daniel WU is very good though. I don't know why most people think he cannot act. The fact that he's cute doesn't negate his talent. Angelica Lee is very natural and spunky. And the supporting casts are very good too. I really feel like the people who act as a family are really family. Especially the relationships portray by Daniel, Edison and their Dad. I had give this movie a 10 becuase it is a very sincere and touching movie. Everyone should have a dream, a dream that makes everything all worthwhile. |

Great Movie, Worth to buy

I have watch almost 7 recent chinese movies this week. This one is by far the best among them. Excellent Art Direction!!! (very artistic) and visual. Good story, but not great. Not one of those dumb chinese movies. Some part is boring, but overall a pleasant eye-teaser. Don't get me wrong, this is by no mean a bad movie. I am a film student, so i have a very high expectation for movies. The computer graphics + effects in the movie is good (for chinese movies, but not comparable to the american Special FX production). Recommend to buy, it's will make you want to watch more than once. Overall very artistic movie, and good story seals the deal!!! |
