One of the Best TV Series
| I actually waited a month after purchase before I could watch it. A word of advice on this particular edition, it plays only on PAL picture format TV. I had to buy a converter before I could see the picture. However, it was definately worth the wait. It was really good. Li Yapeng's fans might be a little disappointed of the fact that this was only a supporting role. However, it did not take away how good of job he did. His portrait of Pu YI was excellent. His few scenes with Jiang Qin Qin was gut wrenching. Jiang Qin Qin's and Huang Yi's performance was pretty good as well. Since I do not know much about the historic facts relating to the last concubine, the screen play was really excellent. At the end, you really feel for the characters. |
