I've only got into TVXQ for 2 months, but in those 2 months I tried to find as much information and as much music as I could from them. The conclusion I came up with is that they are one of the most talented group I have ever had the privilege to listen to. The only music groups I have ever gotten into were Savage Garden and the Beatles, so this is a bit of a shock even to me that I would find this Korean Pop group so irresistable. But the fact is that their a cappella style and their distinctive voices and personalities are a huge draw to all age groups and genders, including someone like me who is in my postgraduate years studying to be a classical pianist. Their harmonies are complex and shifts often unexpectedly with added 7ths and 9ths that are particularly difficult as these create dissonance that requires a very well-trained musician to be able to keep them in tune. Sorry about all the technical mumble-jumble, but I just wanted to convey that these 5 young men deserve to be the most well-known male band in Asia, and I can't wait for their 3rd Album! I've ordered both versions, curse SM for doing this to us poor fans. I am sure this is going to be a very successful album. |
