　　前軍人劉德華在國內被出賣而被判有罪要遭到槍決。槍決當日, 他趕機逃走, 後到了香港。在逃難的時候他遇到同樣是逃難的李美鳳, 二人一見鍾情。國家當然不會放過他, 派了公安徐錦江到港追捕。

　　因為劉德華曾當軍人, 身手過人, 一早便受到黑社會的注視。後因劉德華不肯為他們做事, 黑社會便捉了李美鳳到歡場做舞小姐, 藉此威脅劉德華…

　　Ex-soldier Li is set up and sentenced to death in Mainland China. During the day of execution, he got a chance to escape and leave for Hong Kong. During the escape, he meets Sheung Mun, the two falls in love. Of course the police won't let him go that easy, they send Mao to Hong Kong to follow up.

　　As an ex-soldier, Li is famous for his physical strength, when he reaches Hong Kong, some gang tell him to do big business for them; however, ge refuses. The gang doesn't give up that easy, they catch Sheung Mun as hostage in a nightclub and forces Li to choose between freedom or lover.
