He looks very boyish and has that irresistible smile. His singing is absolutely amazing. He does not really dance in this concert, like most of his concerts, but he makes up for it with his charming good personality and good interactions with the audience. I love the clothes he wore for this concert, very 1990s, those color suits. His special guest was Shirley Kwan whom he sang a duet with, first part in Cantonese and second part in Mandarin, sounded so good. I wished he had sung the song "Romantic Rainy Night", but he didn't. June 16, 2006 Nice pairing of Jolin & Alan"Hi Working Girl" is one of my favorite Taiwanese TV dramas starring the very popular Jolin Tsai (Ii Ling) and Alan Luo (Da Lun). Ii Ling and Da Lun both work side-by-side at an advertising company. Ii Ling is an office lady (OL), she usually gets people's coffee, breakfast, lunch, buys office supplies, makes copies, answers the phone, etc. She likes her job, but does not want to do this for the rest of her life. She feels a bit depressed and wants to quit. Da Lun is her new co-worker, who has come back to Taiwan from America. All the girls in the office likes him, but when he meets Ii Ling, he develops a crush on her. Da Lun is always very nice to Ii Ling and helps her out. He does not want her to quit.
One day, the staff is having a very important meeting at a hotel. The chairman does not have his speech document, how is he to give a professional speech to all these foreign business people? Ii Ling finds the document on the office floor. Someone carelessly dropped it. She runs to the hotel to deliver the document. She arrived just in the nick of time. The chairman is very happy to know that there is someone like her working for the company. He gives her a promotion and she stays at the company.
This is a very cute and funny show about young people in the working world. I think Jolin Tsai and Alan Luo look very cute together. I like how Jolin plays Ii Ling, very sweet, cheerful and innocent. I like Alan's character Da Lun, he is also very sweet, caring and charming.
This show has quite a number of guests: Ken Chu (F4), Penny Lin (At the Dolphin's Bay, 100% Senorita), Wallace Zhong, Terri Kwan (Toast Boy's Kiss 2).

June 16, 2006 BEST Romantic Comedy"Long Vacation" is a romantic comedy TV drama, starring Yamaguchi Tomoko(Minami) and Kimura Takuya (Sena). Minami is a 31-year old model, who is supposed to get married and retire from her modelling career. On her wedding day, the groom does not show up for the wedding ceremony. In her traditional Japanese wedding clothes, she runs to his apartment to look for him, only to find his roommate, Sena. Sena is a 24-year old pianist and part-time piano teacher. He is preparing for the next piano competition.
Minami asks Sena where her fiance is. She looks through her fiance's room and finds a letter. That is when she discovers that he does not want to marry her and left town. What is she to do? She doesn't have any money and she had given up her apartment. The next day, she comes over to Sena and forces herself into his apartment, asking him to let her stay.
Sena is a good pianist, but when he plays the piano, it is very technical, the music he plays does not display emotions. His former college professor tells him that he must have more life experiences in order to develop emotions in the music he plays. The more time he spends with Minami, he starts to have strong feelings for her. This is when he plays music that starts to have various deep emotions.
I love this show very much. It is about falling in love with someone whom you thought you wouldn't be able to fall in love with. It is about how one person can affect another person in a very deep and emotional way. Also it is about the miracle of love that helps a person to have courage to go for their dreams and turning them into reality.
Kimura Takuya's performance is superb. He starts off with this very innocent face, a very clean cut personality and afraid to show his feelings. Then towards the end, he turns into this man that is very brave and wanting the world to know what he thinks and feels. Yamaguchi Tomoko's performance is great. I love how she plays Minami with a very outgoing and cheerful personality. Sometimes she is very strong, but sometimes deep inside she is very fragile.
"Long Vacation" has a great soundtrack. 'Sena's Piano II' by Daisuke Hinata, this piece can be found on Cagnet's "Best of Cagnet World" CD. Also, the fantastic theme song "La La La Love Song" sang by Kubota Toshinobu, which can be found on his single 'La La La Love Song' and on his 'La La La Love Thang' CD and on his 'The Baddest III' CD. For those who want to have all the music from the show, then you might want to get the 'Long Vacation Original Soundtack Special Box' which contains 4 CDs.

June 15, 2006 Natural Beauty & TalentVivian Chow Live in Concert 1994 is her first concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Vivian gives a fantastic and lively performance for her many adoring fans. She sang and danced very well. I always love the beginning of this concert, because she is very cheerful when she is singing the medley. I love how she goes "Sha la la la la Gong Ngoi Yat Ye Ho Baat Ho and at the end she jumps up & down and goes "Hey! Hey! Hey!" After this medley, she asks the audience "I'm going to sing my very first song now. Do you know what song it is?" She thanks the audience and says "Off Stage Leading Lady" and begins to sing. Later, see Vivian playing the piano and singing the song "Beloved" in Japanese and then Cantonese. So beautiful and elegant.
The difference between this DVD and the VCD is:
1. DVD is missing the "Cartoon Medley", where she sings 4 songs from popular cartoons.
2. DVD shows her interactions with the audience. I like the part where she thanks her mom and then talks about her grandmother. She points out her grandmother in the audience. And Vivian said that her grandmother goes to sleep at 8:00 pm, she told her grandmother to get some sleep before the concert, so that she will not fall asleep during her performance. And another part I like, is the part when she says that there are a lot of cameras in the audience. She poses for each section of the audience. Then she made one big slow spin around so that everyone can take another picture of her. She's so sweet.
3.As it says on the box that this is the "Concert Version", it does not have any words at all... not even the titles to introduce what the next song is. NO karaoke. It is purely the concert.
This concert had quite a number of big name celebrities as guests, but none of them are recorded on either the DVD or VCD. I wish Universal Music / Garry's Trading would have recorded at least one guest. But they didn't.
Vivian Chow Live in Concert 1994 is very worth to have. It displays her natural beauty and natural talent. She has a very sweet voice & cheerful personality. The DVD picture and sound quality is excellent.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

June 10, 2006 Beautiful Artistic movie"April Story" stars the sweet and beautiful Matsu Takako (famous for her tv dramas: Love Generation and Hero). This movie is about a shy, sweet, good girl who is from Hokkaido, she is moving to Tokyo to attend college. She is quite nervous, yet excited, and tries her best to fit in at school and with her neighbors. Back in Hokkaido, she had a crush on a fellow high school classmate. This classmate is one year ahead of her, he was very smart and greatly admired by many girls in school. He was accepted into a college in Tokyo. Therefore, she liked him so much, that she wanted to study and go for the exam to try to get into the same college. She was accepted to the college and moved to Tokyo. Every day, while in Tokyo, during her free time, she went to the bookstore to buy books. One day, she sees him working at the bookstore. He looks at her and recognizes her. They start to talk and become better acquainted.
This movie is short and has very little dialogue. The audience must rely on watching the actions and facial expressions of the actors to fully appreciate the beauty of this film. I like this movie a lot because it is an artistic movie with a simple message. It's about how love can help a person to conquer their fears. Love can help give a person confidence to go for what they desire. The music and sceneries are very pleasant, when watching this movie, it is very relaxing.Did you find this review helpful? Her singing is very good. She really knows how to entertain the audience. And she has such a great smile. In all her concerts, she always seem to be having a good time. My favorite songs are: Poker Face, Trust, Dearest, M, Fly High, Audience, Independent, Boys & Girls. This is a great concert. For those who are not familiar with Hamasaki Ayumi, this is a good concert to watch to get an idea of her music and performance. I love watching this concert, never get tired of it. Ayu is fantastic. June 10, 2006 L'Arc-en-Ciel Really Rocks!L'Arc-en-Ciel went to Baltimore, Maryland to perform this concert at Otakon (an anime convention in America). They looked fantastic, especially Hyde. Hyde is SO CUTE! I love the outfit he wore, he looked very fit and very sexy. He tried to speak some English... he was saying things like "Are you having a good time?" "Did you eat crabs?" "I ate too." Very cute. There were some shots of a press conference meeting and some shots of L'Arc-en-Ciel taking photos outside the streets of Baltimore. Hyde always looks so cool.
I love this concert. They sang a lot of my favorite songs: Kiss--Kuchizuke, Heaven's Drive, Living in Your Eyes (Hitomi no Jyunin), Driver's High, Feeling Fine, Honey, Pieces. L'Arc-en-Ciel sang and performed very well. I love watching Hyde sing. I also love watching Ken (guitar), Tetsu (bass) and Yukihiro (drums).

June 10, 2006 Modern-day Cinderella story"Pretty Woman" starring Julia Roberts (Vivian Ward) and Richard Gere (Edward Lewis), is a favorite 1990 modern-day Cinderella movie.
Edward Lewis is a rich businessman, who drives off by himself and gets stranded somewhere on the bad side of Hollywood. He stops his car to ask a woman for directions and discovers that she is a call girl. He needs help and feels has no choice, so she gets in his car and gives him directions to the luxury Beverly Hills hotel he is trying to go to. When they get to the hotel, they are supposed to go their separate ways. He decides to invite her up to his room... supposed to be for a drink and conversation and that's it... but things went further than that.
Edward needs an escort for his many events. He decides to hire Vivian. He takes her on a shopping spree and pays for all the name brand clothes and accessories. Most of the time, he only sees her as a call girl. And she sees him as a guy who is very rigid, who needs to loosen up a bit and enjoy life. Even though they come from very different backgrounds, they develop strong feelings for each other and fall in love.
The movie is about love having no boundaries and no class system. A very good movie and wow! It's been 16 years already since it's release in movie theaters!

June 10, 2006 "The Way We Were" is Better"The Owl and the Pussycat" starring Barbra Streisand (Doris) and George Segal (Felix). Doris is an actress and part-time call girl. She is somewhat literate, but is very rude. Felix is a highly intelligent nerdy writer, who is finding it hard to write and get his works published. Doris and Felix live in the same building. He is very nosy and tells the landlord of the building that Doris is a call girl. Doris gets kicked out of her apartment and later comes and bangs on Felix's door. They argue so loud that they are both kicked out. They both go to one of their friend's apartment. With their two different personalities that make them seem like water and oil, they eventually engage in some romance and fall in love.
I think this movie is okay. I watched this because I have always enjoyed watching Barbra Streisand's movies, such as: The Way We Were, Hello Dolly!, Funny Girl and For Pete's Sake. "The Owl and the Pussycat" is somewhat kind of disappointing. There isn't really that much of a solid plot. Some moments are kind of slow and dull. The two characters are always arguing, which gets kind of old and frustrating to watch. But Barbra Streisand still did a very great job with this role, a character that she never played before.

I love this tv series... it's better than the new movies with Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu. Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Farrah Fawcett are much sassier and classy. There are 5 DVDs. June 10, 2006 Evergreen is BeautifulEvergreen is a very beautiful slow song by Hyde. I love the lyrics to the song, especially when he goes: "This scenery is evergreen. As buds turn into leaves, the colours live and breathe. This scenery is evergreen. Your tears are falling silently. So full of joy, you are a child of spring. With a beauty that is pure. An innocence endures. You flow right through me like medicine. Bringing quiet to my soul. Without you I'm not whole. This scenery is evergreen. I need you far too much, I long to feel you touch. This scenery is evergreen. You've always been so dear to me."

666 is Hyde's 2nd solo CD. It is very different from his first solo CD 'Roentgen'. 666 is very rock with a few nice medium tempo tracks. My favorite tracks are: Sweet Vanilla, Hello, Words of Love, Shining Over You, and Fruits of Chaos. I love Hyde's voice, it is very sexy. This is a very nice CD. Did you find this review helpful? June 10, 2006 Rockin' Hot CDL'Arc-en-Ciel has done it again with another fantastic CD. "Awake" contains some really nice rock tracks. My most favorites are: New World, Jojoshi, As One, Ophelia, Twinkle Twinkle. I really love "Jojoshi" it is such a beautiful slow song. I love Hyde's voice, especially when he hits the high notes. It's very mesmerizing. I saw L'Arc-en-Ciel perform "Jojoshi" on Music Station and Pop Jam, it was so good! L'Arc-en-Ciel is very hot. I love their music. Did you find this review helpful? June 10, 2006 Theme song for Majo no Jouken"First Love" sang by Utada Hikaru is the theme song for the Japanese tv drama "Majo no Jouken" which stars Takizawa Hideaki (aka Tackey) and Matsushima Nanako. About a 25-year old female high school math teacher, named Michi who falls in love with her 17-year old high school student, named Hikaru. This song is very beautiful and Utada does a great job singing it. She sings with passion. Every time I listen to this song, it makes me want to cry. Vivian Chow: The Red Leaves is Falling Down CD contains a lot of beautiful love songs. Her voice is always very sweet. This is one of my favorite CDs.
