He is to me, the best r&b singer in his genre and period a few years ago. Of course, he is different from Brown Eyes and Moon Myung Jin, my other favorites with different r&b styles. Anyway, that's how great I think he was with his older r&b tracks.
Wheesung has diversified his genres now that include almost everything with the latest electronica hip-hops in this CD. My latest favorites from him are ballads now, Tracks 11 and 12. There are pleasant r&b tracks that I like as well. He is excellent in almost anything because he is a gifted and talented singer, and fine musician, no less.
I'm really happy that I'm Wheesung's fan. I think he works too hard. Hopefully, he will give his vocal cord a good rest for perfect extreme high notes next time, something that Tracks 2 and 3 are lacking. Also, Track 12 despite having a nice melody, in my opinion, can be improved greatly and is kind of a waste because it sounds like a military march while Wheesung is at his best. Get this CD anyway because he is worth it!

I have decided to get this OST album because Wheesung sings this emotional and heart felt ballad through out the series. It's the best ballad that I've heard from him because he is more of a r&b singer. He is, as I've repeatedly mentioned before, one of my top favorite singers. Also, Kyun Woo and Park Wan Kyu's tracks are very good.
The music director who also produced the Emperor of The Sea OST is excellent because he knew how to pick the best singers. That album is among my all time OST favorites and the track, You Left Me by Kim Bum Soo is my favorite ballad. Also, don't miss this series if you're a fan of Song Il Kook who stars in Emperor of The Sea, Ju Mong and this series. Ju Mong is one of my favorite series.Did you find this review helpful? October 20, 2009 Nice Poster of GacktThere is a thin poster of Gackt (one side only) that comes with this magazine. The poster is a shot of gackt at his latest concert, holding a guitar and raising one hand up high with a guitar pick. He is dressed in a nice red Scottish shirt, white tee shirt with designs underneath, and white pants. It is simple, but I like it. The poster would be more desirable if the paper quality is better and Gackt does not have this little piece of metal on his nose which looks like something to support eye glasses or actually is part of a head gear. It is not attached to anything, just resting on his upper nose. Please pardon my ignorance, but I really don't know its function or purpose. May be it's part of Gackt's style, lol! There are other pictures from his concert, not a great deal to report on.
F.T. Island is also featured in the magazine. They are really very cute. I did buy their first album which was nice. Vocally, they were just too young then. There are also pictures of Orange Range.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

October 19, 2009 It Has Soul!Just watched the DVD last night before I write this review. The first track, Melody and Harmony has a simple but catchy melody, a song that is easy to remember. It has soul, apart from many songs that's been popular lately. Both Micky and Hero are excellent singers, and musically talented as well in my opinion. They care about music and possess the natural born abilities to compose. They would not have been able to produce this track if they don't have the musical talents and the underlying emotional desire. The mv in the DVD is simple: A better world with beauty and harmony, the message that they convey in their title song. The mv is not very sophisticated, but you get the message anyway.
Vocally, Melody and Harmony is not perfect. Micky's voice fits perfectly in the track and Hero's voice is slightly high pitched. The synthesizer sound in the track can be improved or removed because it is somewhat artificial. The (less vocal) track gets a 4 stars rating.
I think a lot of listeners will prefer Shelter. It gets a 5 stars rating after I upgrade it. Hero sounds his normal self, while rapping and everything else are good.
I also bought the CD version. The only difference is the length of Melody and Harmony has increased to 6:47 min.
Please support Micky and Hero who are fine musicians in the making. I wish them success in whatever they pursue, and also hoping they will perform again with the rest of the TVXQ members in the not so distant future. Love from their fan! :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

October 18, 2009 Excellent! A Must Get!Just got this yesterday and I'm so happy to write a review for Dong Bang Shin Ki. They have converted me from a curious listener from my first DBSK CD, Rising Sun Album to a die-hard fan/Cassiopeia symbolically, lol!
All DBSK members have matured beyond their debut Japanese solo albums. Just listen to their individual solo tracks in this concert will give you some idea of the change in their vocal abilities and diverse ranges. All their solo tracks are 5 stars after I upgraded Max' solo because it requires more than one listen.
My favorite solo has to be Micky's Love Bye Love. He is a jazzy singer in this slow ballad. Surprisingly he reminds me a little of Kangta. Xiah's Xiahtic is an attractive pleasant r&b and his voice is attractive with the right touch. Hero's slow r&b ballad is a surprise because he is jazzy, a little coarse at the last third of the track when he is not in his usual high notes. He sings emotionally and with a lot of feelings. It is attractive none the less. And who said U-Know can't sing? Just listen to his Checkmate, a r&b electronica which is pleasant with the right beats. He sounds sexy and a lot better than other singers. And Max' voice has grown more mature and powerful lately. His vocals in the solo track here is very different from his voice in group singing. It is slightly higher pitched than his normal singing, showing his vocal range in a different scale and style.
I've found all members of DBSK talented in their own ways. They have great synergy together as a group and individually they are excellent singers, better than some stand along artists in my opinion, not to mention that they are dynamite dancers.
I have a lot of 5 stars from this package which contains 34 songs. I gave 5 stars rating to my old favorite tracks:Wrong Number, Purple Line, Mirotic and Love in The Ice. Rising Sun gets a 4 stars rating. And there are many other 5 stars and 4 stars tracks, too numerous to mention here.
This concert CD is a must get for DBSK fans! DON'T MISS iT! It's worth every penny! I'm looking forward to the DVD publication of this concert!!!!!! :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

I echo SarangAsianMusic's comment that TVXQ has come a long way in Japan. Performing at Tokyo Dome is testimonial to their triumphant success and popularity. They have indeed arrived! The concert is by no means perfect if you include other elements, but TVXQ's performance just tops everything else. Regardless of whether the concert songs are your favorite, just watch it! You won't regret it because they are excellent in almost everything!
Hero and Micky have debuted their new track at the concert. It is wonderful and I'm so glad that I have pre-ordered both CD versions.

October 11, 2009 A Collector's Item for L'Arc~en~Ciel FansI just had to get this album because I'm a new die-hard fan of L'Arc~en~Ciel. Musically, I don't like this album as much as their later albums because the drums are just too prominent in most of the tracks when Sakura was the band's drummer. Don't get me wrong. He is excellent. But I just like Yukihiro whose drumming technique fits in better with the group's music, more harmonious I think. Early on in this album, their first I presume, you can just tell Hyde was already a gifted singer and Ken was so talented with his guitar playing. The pamphlet contains pictures of all the members when they were much younger. Hyde had long hair and liked like a girl, lol! Tetsu and Ken looked so nice and wonderful as well. I gave 5 stars rating to Track 4 and Cureless, and many tracks with 4 stars for the reason that the drumming was a little overboard for my taste. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

It is enjoyable, but don't expect too much. The central plot doesn't make sense and there are a lot of holes in the movie. Watch it if you're a fan of Kim Ha Neul or Kang Ji Hwan who are versatile actors in comedies and tragic stories. There are a lot of actions by Kim Ha Neul and especially close to the end of the movie which is sort of the climax. She is indeed a versatile actress who can be almost anything she wants to on screen. She can be pretty and attractive, sexy even. Kang Ji Hwan over acted a little, but it is okay. I like both of them a lot and I'm their fan. There is a little surprise at the end of the movie, not original but it makes me laugh. Guess who is Kang Ji Hwan's boss/trainer? October 8, 2009 It's a BUY!Just watched the 1st disk last night and right at the start of the concert, I was kicking myself for not watching it a day earlier. lol! That's how much I like about it! Our boys are great! They look masculine, hot, sexy, dynamic and ah!.....just running out of words to describe it due to my limited vocabularies. It is in my opinion, the best of their concerts and I was kind of worry thinking about the current state of events, but my thoughts were temporary swept away by their great performances. Each member performs excellently! I like almost all the songs they performed on stage. The dance, singing, video, camera shooting, lighting, their outfits and most of the stage settings are all excellent. The only complaint is with exception of the last female who sits in the car video with U-Know, the girls all look terrible. There are no English subtitles and I'm probably getting the HK version! DO NOT MISS IT!

October 8, 2009 Very Good!Just got this package today and I'm really glad that I did. Lee Min Ho has a relatively good voice and Kim Jun can rap nicely. Kim Bum has an excellent voice and the potential to be a great singer.* Kim Hyun Joong is the best singer among the four of them because he a member of SS501. He sings nicely with emotions and feelings. I gave him a 5 stars rating on his track along with Track 6 by A&T. The rest of the tracks get 4 stars rating and Track 10 is a 3 stars. The packaging is really nice and pretty with pictures of the boys. It's well worth it if you're F4 fans! :)
I watched the Boys Over Flowers drama series not too long ago and I like it a lot. But I think the Taiwan version, Meteor Garden is better and it is one of my favorite series. Lee Min Ho reminds me a lot of Jerry Yan as Dao Ming Si. Both of them acted well respectively in their series. As for the Boys Over Flowers, all members play well but Kim Jun did not get a significant supporting story of his own, a flaw in the script.
*Note:Kim Bum who plays the young Song Seung Heon in East of Eden is excellent and you have to watch him. I almost cried watching the beginning of the series which is heart wrenching. Don't miss it!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

The box construction is sturdy and the CD is well protected. But my CD felt out of the socket and luckily it was not damaged. The stylist placed Park Hyo Shin in sort of Michael Jackson style outfits. The last third photo is pretty with Park Hyo Shin placing his thumb over his lips.

Thanks For The Gift!Just finished listening to this CD and Park Hyo Shin has become one of my top favorite singers. If you like r&b ballads, do not miss this CD because they are being offered here: emotionally heart-felt (Gift), soothing (Track 2), sad (Track 3), and with emotionally mixed feelings (Deja-Vu). The Gift (Track 1) is slightly electronica, Track 5 is a jazzy piano ballad, and (Deja-Vu Piano Mix Vesrion) is a r&b with a little hip-hop. The drums in Track 4 are slightly too heavy and this is the only track that I have rated with 4 stars and all the other vocal tracks are 5 stars.
This CD is highly recommended because I think that Park Hyo Shin is a gifted singer endows with a distinctive, reach and powerful voice who sings from his heart, among the best there is. I like to paraphrase from Darrobers Philippe/France who commended on Kim Bum Soo, my other favorite singer, Park Hyo Shin is a national treasure from Korea.

I'm really glad that I bought this VCD version because the video quality is surprisingly excellent. If you don't want to spend a whole lot on a movie that you are not sure of, try this version. It is well worth it because it is an enjoyable comedy. I wouldn't say it is perfect. I like the cute little boy who plays Cha Tae Hyun's grandson and Park Bo Young who plays his daughter. Yo-Yo Ma is more than a 10 stars, he is priceless in my opinion. I know I'm biased when it comes to my favorite musicians and artists, but then who isn't? The sound quality in this CD is not very good, only 7.8/10 at best comparing to the originals. That being said, if you want variations from your hip hops, rocks, ballads and others, then try this CD because Yo-Yo Ma, being a great cellist offers a variety of music that he has explored over the years.
My favorites from him are the Saint-Saens and Bach cello classics, and Latin music with Piazolla and other Brazilian artists. My favorite tracks here have to be the Morricone (Tracks 26 & 27), Bach (Track 1), Meditation (Track 8), O'Connor (Track 23) and Villa-Lobos (Track 17).
I was very lucky to have bought his Obrigado Brazil-Live In Concert lately. It is highly recommended if you are able to get it.
I can't say enough how much I adore Yo-Yo Ma because he is truly a wonderful musician besides being a great cellist. I also love his pleasant and gentle demeanor, and great intellect!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Lee Jun Ki is really talented besides being an excellent actor, and so glad that I'm his fan! I wouldn't say this CD is a quantum jump from his previous single, but you can tell from the improvement in his singing techniques and his increase of confidence. He is kind of versatile in his style now that includes a little pop, hip hop and electronica. I've given Tracks 1, 2 and 4 with 5 stars and track 3 with 3 stars. The old tracks, 6 and 7 only got 3 stars at best.
The pamphlet is really pretty. But, I wish the stylist would just leave Lee Jun Ki's handsome and good looking face without the heavy makeups around his eyes, especially in the white photos which look horrendous!

They were excellent and regrettably I missed the album. Lee Hyun has a masculine, slightly soulful and relatively powerful voice. His style is similar to that of V.O.S's members. He sings a little bit more emotionally than the other Korean singers and you can almost hear the slight differences. Yes, his phrasing is a little different. But he is really good! My 5 star tracks are tracks 2, 3 and 4 and track 1 is a 4 stars. If you like ballad and r&b, don't miss this CD!

September 20, 2009 A Striking Poster!Just got this poster yesterday. It's huge in size and striking because of the Kim Jeong Hoon's good looks. The color is mostly brownish. I agree with the previous reviewer that Tae One is an excellent singer and that he can be more popular. My favorite tracks are Friend, 나쁜 남자, both ballads and 빛처럼 운명처럼, a r&b featured To Romance. I'm really glad that I recognize Tae One's name in Korean now, because I just couldn't figure out who was singing so nicely when I played his songs, especially 나쁜 남자 so many times on my i Shuttle. lol! September 18, 2009 Pretty CD Case Design!I bought this CD because G-Dragon's poster looks so attractive. No regrets because the design of the package is excellent. The pamphlet is really pretty with the metallic red, beige, white and black colors, featuring G-Dragon's pictures which include the poster ones. The human face plaster in the illustration here is actually a cover for the soft CD case; it is sandwiched in between the bottom and a plastic top. My CD felt out of the socket (a weak design point) and left no scratches because of the softness of the housing material. The whole thing is then enclosed with a plastic box like TVXQ's Mirotic CD version. The designers have put in a lot of thoughts and efforts into the package. I think this is a pretty and inexpensive decoration item for your dorm or office.
My favorite tracks are:Butterfly which is very pleasant and has a California feel if you know what I mean, and Korean Dream has Tae Yang's in it . My 4 stars tracks are Track 1 and Gossip Man. I think this package is worth your money if you are G-Dragon or Big Bang's fan.
