    September 6, 2009 FINALLY! >_< Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This album is extremely unique and amazing. In this onging k-pop industry where actors are turning k-pop singers and vice versa, I was hesistant to give this album a spin. I was disappointed with Lee Min Ho's (Boys Over Flowers) music and many other actors who went 'pop' for a quick minute for money. Everything sounds so mainstream nowadays, so I overlooked this, but I reallly regret not giving this album a spin earlier. ^^()

This album is not K-pop mainstream whatsoever, but rock. It's hard to really compare this to other artists, but the closest artist I can think of to compare it is 'The Flaming Lips' (or maybe even 'The Killers' or 'Yeah Yeah Yeah's'). Um, for some reason it has this european rock feel, but the voice is totally different. I really can't seem to confidently compare this sound to anyone elses...

I love his voice. It may not be a strong ballad voice or a hype pop voice like what mainstream korean listeners are used to, but his music is solely his own and actually fits his voice perfectly. The calm rock with a slight punk sound really pulls you into "Lee Min Ki" and not into the thoughts of "he sounds just like....*such and such* like most k-pop artists. I really love artists where I come to a loss of comparing them to others.

I say give this album a spin and try not to fall into the stereoype of him being a famous actor. I think he has some talent that's being overlooked because he's not following the current flow of music. This album is completely his own and I really hope Lee Min Ki doesn't get discouraged and make this a one time thing. I hope he keeps going, letting out occasional albums.

If you like rock, this is a nice treat. ^_^ I really recommend this album.

September 3, 2009 nice quality Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The sound quality of this live album is really nice. Usually in the korean TVXQ concerts, they are sort of ruined because the fans scream non-stop that you can't hear the artist sing. So, I was a bit hesitant to buy this album after seeing the live broadcast of this concert on TBS (The fans were SO loud!). However, this one is a bit more toned down (maybe the audio workers lowered the background noise?).

I found this live album very enjoyable. Being able to hear songs from the 4th album live was a treat, expecially Paradise and CRAZY LOVE. Hearing Insa (Greeting) live with the whole group was another treat. It is one of the most beautiful tracks in the concert.

Also, this is a great chance to own a copy of the solo stages (like Xiah's Xiahtic and Yunho's Checkmate). The sound quality is really good and the bass is really top notch.

Overall, I am most satisfied with this live album and it is even better than The 2nd Asia Tour 'O' Live album from 2007. Don't miss this chance to own the album before the prices rise again. ^_^

    September 2, 2009 EXCELLENT Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is an EXCELLENT album by Big Bang and this is one I HIGHLY recommend. This album includes the singles 'Gara Gara Go!' and 'MY HEAVEN', but the new songs introduced on the album are amazing. I'm also glad they added 'Top of the World' was added to this album cuz the song is one of my absolute favorites. 'Emotion' was added as well.

Big Bang is really on a roll this year (G-Dragon's solo debut and Big Bang's debut in Japan).

    Non-single tracks:

'Intro' All of Big Bang's intros are excellent and hype. This is NO exception. However, this time there is a trance feel in the background and G-Dragon is so hype with his specifically clear japanese. (You have to hear it to understand ^_^)

'Bringing You Love' has a trance beat. It feels like something from the 70s or even a backbeat that 'The Killers' would use. 4/5

'Stay' is the most gorgeous track I've heard by Big Bang. It's almost a ballad and Seungri and Daesung's vocals really shine in this one and Taeyang during the chorus really touches you. I almost wanted to cry during this song. It starts off as sad piano playing and blasts into a thumping bass beat. 5/5 100%

'Follow Me' I love this song and it kind of remixes Rihanna's 'bum-bum-bi-dum bum-bum bi-dum-dum' beat from 'Disturbia'. The house beats are thumping and Big Bang harmonizes so well! O_O 5/5 100%

'Love Club' has a disco feel. It really makes you wanna dance. Taeyang adds an excellent R&B feel. 5/5 100%

This album is worth every penny, but I will try buy the CD+DVD Hong Kong version if it's released for DVD Region 3. If not, I will buy this normal version.

    GREAT JOB BIG BANG!

PS Baby Baby is the japanese version of 'Last Farewell'.

    September 1, 2009 Interesting Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I'm not going to say this single is excellent, but you have to admit that it is interesting.

I'm used to Ayumi Hamasaki playing with many styles of music. Her GUILTY album dealt with rock genres and NEXT LEVEL dealt with techno. Now that summer is here, many artists tend to experiment with a new style. For example, Tohoshinki did techno ballad 'Doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimattan darou?' and Koda Kumi tried an american candy style song called 'Lick me'. Summer seems to be the time for experimentation and fans tend to either love it or hate it.

'Sunrise' and 'Sunset' are the same song. 'Sunrise' is the upbeat version while 'Sunset' is the ballad version. I like both but it's not a song I've listened to on repeat. It seems to be an excellent song you'd want to hear at a concert (perfect for a-nation) but not really a radio hit. 'Sunset' is a more playable version than 'Sunrise' in my opnion.

Overall, I can't say I'm upset over this single because I'm not a fan who loves all of Ayumi's songs, but I really admire her work and have high respect for her talents. This is just another step in her musical future. Her music always tends to grow on me later. ^_^ So, I'd still recommend this to Ayumi fans.

September 1, 2009 really nice summer songs Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Korean R&B legend Hwayobi really stirs things up this summer with a techno R&B summer feel. All the tracks are noteworthy, but three tracks are my personal favorites.

'Jangmi' (Rose) is a nice single with house rhythm. This is a song I've had on repeat recently. It has a bubblegum pop feel, but Hwayobi's R&B feel really makes it her own style. I really lover watching her perform this live. This is a song that's very well composed.

'Pygmalion Effect' is another upbeat song with a hint of a jazz rhythm. It starts out soft and slow, then later picks up. This song really makes you want to groove and clap your hands.

'Dooli Hajanha' (We Both Doing It) is another techno song that starts off slow and picks up. A thumping beat pumps up the song the entire time. It has the feel that the song could be a ballad but it makes you want to dance.

Overall, this may be a first time Hwayobi fans have seen her try this style, but it really seems to fit her. I highly recommend this mini album.

    August 20, 2009 part 2 of review: Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
    Hello (feat. Dara) 10/10
A hip-hop dance mix. This song really makes you want to dance and bounce. Dara sounds EXTREMELY good in this song. I really hope this can be released as a single. I would love to see them perform this on stage.

    Gossip Man (feat. KimGeonMo) 8/10
A disco track with a thumping trance beat. This would be interesting to see this collaborated with the Blue Man Group.

    Korean Dream (feat. TaeYang) 10/10
Another disco track. I love the electronic blending of TaeYang and GD’s voice. The rapping style is interesting. It feels like he’s on an intercom yelling at a game. Lol Beware there is cursing in this song.

The Leaders (feat. Teddy and CL) 10/10
Lol. This is so CRUNK. OMG! This song is so black. I never expected this. O_O It’s so interesting hearing this in Korean that I LOVE it! He really makes a lot of jokes with other songs. Lol. He uses Wass Up from SS501 Kyujong’s solo and he changes Gee by SNSD to “G-D G-D Baby Baby”. LOL CL sounds so HOT on this track. She sounds like Eve or Lil Kim. Beware there is cursing in this song too. lol

    She’s Gone (feat. KUSH) 10/10
Feels like an old school song. It really finds like a Battle of the Bands song. It’s so loud, but you have to GD’s hype in this song. I love it! He also speed raps just as fast as Yankie or even Outsider. A bit of profanity in this song too.

1(il) nyeon Jeonggeo jang (Station 1 Year) 10/10
A nice ending with a techno feel. It has a nice use of a xylophone. This is another song I think would make an interesting PV or even a DDR song. ^_^

Overall, this album is a masterpiece that deserves some serious attention.

August 20, 2009 A True Piece of Art Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This album is so amazing. Though I am a fan of Big Bang, for some reason G-Dragon always caught my attention. I always thought there was more to him until I started to realize that he is the composer and lyricist of most of Big Bang’s music. After hearing this album, I think he could truly be a major lyricist/composer. His thoughts are really deep and I really wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

    Soneyoiyeo (A Boy) 10/10
Feels like your stuck in a fantasy land. It mixes mysterious sounds and he even changed his vocals during the chorus making the song even more interesting. The song feels… crazy? I really can’t find a word to describe. It’s hilarious near the end when GD starts talking in a british accent. ^^

    Heartbreaker 10/10
An excellent song to use for a single. The PV is HOT and very creative and GD’s end. The lyrics also tell a story and the artistic theme of the video is fantastic. It’s like a mix of fairy tail (like Alice in Wonderland)

    Breathe 9/10
A nice dance/techno song (there’s a preview of this song at the end of the Heartbreaker PV). It’d be cool if Uhm Jung Hwa sang with him on this just how G-Dragon remixed her D.I.S.C.O song.

    Buterfly (feat. Jin Jung) 10/10
This song is a big turn from the first 3 songs. It slows things down with a acoustic guitar song. Sounds like Gorillaz song to me. I really like his voice mixed with Jin Jung in this song. The chorus is entirely in English while the verses are in Korean.

Meisa Kuroki is really stepping foreward with her musical career. 'Shock -Unmei-' is a nice hiphop/techno song blending orchestra with techno beats to make an amazing dance song. The PV has some nice dancing and really shows off some skills, but I think the negative filming (like the negatives of a film aka. inversing the picture) is unnecessary. I understand the need to portray 'shock/being electicuted maybe?' but I think a more creative way could've been found. This PV seems a bit low budget compared to Meisa's past 3 PVs.

'Wasted' is a rock song with an Avril Lavigne feels. This is the only way I can truly describe this song. However, despite this, it really fits Meisa. I was a little surprised.

Also, the remix of Bad Girl is really nice and makes you want to dance even more than the original.

Overall, an excellent single from Meisa Kuroki. Keep up the good work.

I'm not as impressed with this album as I am with her past work. I usually like almost all of her songs on her albums but on this one, only 2 caught my attention. Don't get me wrong, I am a LONGTIME fan of Lee JungHyun and I love her creative styles in all of her work, but I didn't really care for the music more than the concept. The concept is actually quite artistic. ^_^

The two tracks I liked were:

2night - an EXCELLENY R&B track featuring BIGTONE.

Miro II - has a French feel and really gave me a nice song to go with the album cover. Whenever I hear this song, I think of the French vocalist Emilie Simon (who is amazing, vocally and artistically).

Maybe I need to see the PV or see her perform the other hit tracks so I can understand what is trying to be done. ^^()

If you like works by See-Saw and FictionJunction formed by Yuki Kajiura or even if you like listening to Celtic Women, you will LOVE this trio. This trio is actually formed by Yuki Kajiura with 2 vocalist from her FictionJunction group. ^_^

The first song I ever heard by this group was 'oblivious' and I was blown away by the vocals and the fact that it was japanese. I was listening to it thinking it was another celtic song until I released I could understand what they were saying, lol.

This album is gorgeous, some of my favorite tracks are:

Track 5 'fairytale' <-- TRULY gorgeous singing with a soft background that shows off the pure vocals,
Track 11 'Ashita no Keshiki' (Scene of Tommorow) <-- sounds like a music box,
Track 12 'sprinter' <-- has a rock feel, but it somehow suits them perfectly
Track 13 'Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete Iku' (Turn into Light) <-- a slow ballad song with a lot of cello and piano work
Track 14 'seventh heaven' <-- the last track on the album truly makes the perfect ending. It really completes the meaning behind the album and really brings the album's name to the forfront of the mind. It has a feel of riding on the wind and makes nice use of string intruments. The trio tends to take turns singing instead of blending their voices as much like in the other songs.

Overall, I truly recommend this album.

    August 19, 2009 Just as I feared... -___- Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
IU is an AMAZING vocalist. Her first single Mia (Missing Child) really showed off her vocal ability and I waited in high anticipation for her album... however, this album is a COMPLETE 360 from her original concept!

If I hadn't heard Mia, I would been used to this style of music with her voice, but the fact is that Mia was an EXCELLENT start for IU. However, it gave listeners a misinterpretation of what to expect from her in the future.

It's to the point where Mia sounds out of place on the album.

The single 'Boo' did nothing for me. The only tracks I felt had nice potentials were Track 1 'Bala Bogi' and Track 8 'Ijanha'.

It feels like Loen Entertainment thought IU wouldn't gain young fans with ballads and decided to try to fit her voice into the mainstream k-pop. Though it may be true that she may have only gained mostly older fans with her ballads, she had the potential of being a 'singing' artist rather just another mainstream artist.

This album is low rated, not because of IU's singing skills, but for the songs themselves. IU has true talent and this album isn't allowing it to bloom. I recommend just buying her first single.

Lee Jun Ki is one of my favorite korean actors and in 2006, when he released his digital single (Maijoon) with 3 songs, I was so happy. JunKi has a very nice voice which just adds on to his many talents. This year, he finally released a physical album which includes all 3 songs from his 2006 single (Han Madiman - One Word/Sarangeul Molla-Don't Know Love/Babo Sarang-Foolsh Love). Long time fans won't want to give up this chance to have the songs. Out of the new songs on the CD:

'J Style' is catchy. I get where they're going with the song, but maybe I need to see the PV to get the full concept. Something about it seems incomplete to me, but I love the song. ^_^

Track 2 'Heun Jamal' is my favorite non-single track on the album. It feels soothing to me and his vocals really shine in this one.

'I'm Ready' has a rock feel. It's okay in my opinion. I guess I'm just not used to him single rock. It doesn't fit the image of him I already have from years of being a fan.

Track 4 'Akkim Opshi Jooneun Namu' is a nice slow ballad-like song that makes you want to sing along.

(Tracks 5-7 are the 206 single songs)

Overall, I really like the album and recommend that Lee Jun Ki fans add it to their collection. ^_^

    August 12, 2009 Lovely Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
IS (Infinity of Sound) is one of those artists that I follow but everyone doesn't know about. For one, they are very hard to look up due to their name. Anyway, these 3 (triplets) make amazing traditional music that really soothes the soul. Their voices are soft.

Though I haven't fully listened to their first album (from 2007), I have been watching their performances since their debut and they sound amazing live. This album is no disappointment. The music is extremely nice and has nice flow to it.

'Naneun Neoui Goyangida' has a nice bubblegum pop 'feel' but is still traditional. Their sequence of playing is really unique in creating the overall sound. The order sounds really complicated and I think it'd be amazing to see them perform this live and see how it's done.

'Ujuyeoneo' has a commercial song feel of a Traveler's commercial that advertises going to see asian countries. I don't want to continuously say its beautiful and soothing because all the songs are. ^^() However, I would like to say that the strings played the youngest triplet is really well played.

'Choonmoong (The Butterfly Dream)' is really soothing and feels like flowing water. The soothing techno background and their soft voices really bring a natural feeling.

This is a nice treat to those Epik High fans who weren't able to order Epik High's 6th album Map the Soul from their official site. The released song 'Map the Soul' is amazing and this album contains a really nice orchestra version. The soft piano is really nice. This is the song on the album that I constantly have on repeat. It's quiet compared to the original and feels like you're taking a look into someone's past.

Also, the album has remixes of all of their hit releases and I think Planet Silver did an excellent job. Some of my favorites are:

'Love Love Loveless' has a nice 70's/Old School techno beat added.

'Bolyeojin Usan' is a remake of Usan but this time, Lisa is featured. This is a nice slower version with natural background sounds instead of straight up beats. It's like taking natural sounds and technolizing it.

'1 bon 1 Cho, A Little Memory' adds some flowing piano and techno as well as synthesizing Tablo's voice.

'Fanatic' is one of the remixes I think had the most work put into it. I really love how different the remix is... it's the same song but really shows the difference between a 'Fan' and a 'Fanatic'. This version seems more unstable. It's has nice synthesized beats with nice banging piano refrains.

'Back to the Future' has a nice piano opening that suddenly rised like the song will explode and then nice trance sounds are added to the chorus. The song seems to cut off with each verse and chorus that introduces a new sound. Piano -> trance -> sounds of metal clanging -> trance -> synthesized paino/techno guitar -> dance beats.... it all seems to flow.

Overall, I really recommend this album. It's a real treat.

I previously reviewed the CD+DVD version of this album, but I ended up buying this version since the other version was sold out. I'm really happy with the photobook quality. It's on GLOSSY HQ photopaper and the girls have some REALLY nice shots.

I love all the songs on this album and really recommend this album instead of their latest Triangle album if you are a new fan. This CD will make you see Macaroni in an entirely different light and make you want to dance while eating chocolate! I love how unique this album is and I'm happy I finally bought it.

I actually found this photobook at an anime convention (Otakon in Baltimore, MD). I'm really surprised how much Tohoshinki has spread among the masses. I've been going to conventions for years and they never had Tohoshinki merchandise, but this year, vendors had their two latest singles 'Share the World' and 'Stand By U', their latest album 'The Secret Code', and surprisingly, this photobook from 2007.

As soon as I saw it, I bought it because I always forget to buy it when I'm on yesasia. I paid about four dollars more than what's posted here ($50)).

The only regrettable aspect is that this original Japanese version doesn't come with the making DVD but the korean version does. This makes NO sense whatsoever since this is a JAPANESE photobook... -___-

Anyway, this book is not hardback, but the paper is thick. The picture quality is really nice, but be forewarned that this photogrphy is different from their other photobooks. The shots aren't all glamour shots and focuses more on the setting they are in and their contrast with their surrondings. Some of the shots are reallt nice, lit, and straight foreward while some are at off angles and take a more artistic approach. In the back of the book, there are pictures from their second live tour (2007 Five in the Black Tour in Budokan) and interviews with the members in japanese.

Overall, I'm happy I bought this when I saw it. Nothing compares to actually being about to buy Tohoshinki merchandise by hand rather than by the computer. I really like the nice shots of the boys against white backgrounds where you really get to see their faces up close. They look so heavenly. ^_^

    July 24, 2009 Take a walk with Tohoshinki. ^_^ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Following behind the summer ballad theme set by last summers hit 'Doushite kimi wa suki ni natte shimattan darou?', 'Stand By U' is another fresh summer ballad with a sad love story.

The method of speaking fully straightforeward in the song, telling the story directly rather using poetic phrases really seems to suit TVXQ. It seems that these boys have truly mastered how to get their message and feelings across while singing.

'Tea For Two' is a nice song used Miyaneya show in japan. This is a soothing song that makes you want to lazily lounge at home with your loved one on a balcony and look at the summer sky. Junsu and Changmin's mix during the chorus is truly calming with their soothing high pitches and the harmonic background of the other members.

'Sky' is a previously released summer single from 2006 (on their 2007 'Five in the Black' album). This adds an upbeat feel to the single.

The single artwork is really nice, but I wish some of the photos didn't have that blurry look that photographers seem to really be into nowadays. I'd rather have had nice clear shots of the boys. Like the cover indicates, this single truly invites you to just take a walk with Tohoshinki and enjoy the summer atmosphere around you.

P.S. I recieved the Yunho Photocard with this one.

July 24, 2009 Gorgeous Single. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I bought this version of the single at Otakon (an anime convention in Baltimore, MD). I was realy surprised to see it there. Tohoshinki seems to finally be spreading more since they released 'Share the World/We Are!' for the theme of One Piece. Share the World was actually playing at the music table and people became interested and bought both singles. As a fan, this made me very happy.

I paid the same amount as posted here for the CD.

(for Reviews of the songs look at my review for the CD+DVD version of this single).

Stand By U-Luv Behind The MLD mix- is only on this version of the single. This is a really nice remix of the song that gives a slight old school japanese pop feel to it. I really enjoy listening to this version.

P.S. I recieved the First Press Edition of this single and got the Changmin Photocard.

July 24, 2009 Two words: Highly Recommended. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
If you have $50 to spare and are a DBSK fan, I suggest getting this book.

This book was sponsored by SBSi, which is the same company that subs all of DBSK's All About TVXQ Seasons, so this is a true indication that there will be a korean version of All About TVXQ Season 3with english subtitles.

Also, this book is like a picture storybook with words for almost every picture and interviews with the members at the end. Fans will be happy to know that the original korean writing is translated to both Japanese and English, making this the perfect gift for japanese fans (Bigeast), korean fans (Cassiopeia), and english speaking fans outside of Asia.

When it comes to the quality, this is not a hard backbook like the previously released Mirotic Concert Photobook or It's Stylish book released last summer. However, despite this, the picture quality is AMAZING!. Though the paper is thin like that of a magazine, the pictures printed are TOP NOTCH. Also, with the pages this thin, there is room to fit ALOT of photos. This is the thickest photobook I have of TVXQ.

The places they went to in Saipan are simply gorgeous, giving the boys some amazing shots. The first half of the book is of the boys having fun while the second half shows photoshoots.

In the end, I feel this book is truly worth its price if not moreso, and I'm sure fans who haven't ordered this will be hearing about this soon and ordering it, so I suggest getting this before it sells out. ^_^ YOU DEFINITELY WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THIS!

    July 16, 2009 MUCHO EXCELLENT! ^_^ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a group I've been following since I discovered them during their 2nd album 'Color Your Soul'. Clazziquai Project is a group composed of a brother and sister singing duo and a DJ. For a while, they took a break to work on personal projects. Alex released his highly success first solo album 'My Vintage', which showed more of his own taste in music outside of Clazziquai's techno work. Now the group is back together and I must say that they have only gotten better!

This album is amazing! Of all the past albums, I must say that this one is becoming my absolute favorite! Here are some reviews of the tracks I feel are the best. (Opinionated ^^)

    Track 4 Sarang Keutte
One of my absolute favorite tracks. This an amazing song combining Horan and Alex's voices that made me realize how much I missed hearing them sing together.

    Track 5 Tell Yourself
More of an upbeat song with a really nice flow to the way the verses and chorus are sung. I find its vocal composition interesting. It works really well with the repeating backbeat.

    Track 8 Take A Walk
This song is Horan on main vocals and is completely in English. This is a beautiful soft song that mixes piano with nature like techno sounds. This song feels like flowing water and made me realize how I missed Horan's voice.

    Track 9 The Road
A really nice techno song with a slightly rock feel. Alex is the main vocals and the beats feel like this could be a song that The Killers, Coldplay, or Keane would sing. I love hearing Alex sing this song that I can imagine him a leader of a band.

    Track 10 Spinning World
Another song with Horan as main vocals and in English. This song has one of those odd beats and the singing has a robotic feel… like taking one step at a time.

    Track 12 Wizard of OZ
This was the released single for this album and was a song for a CF. This song has a bubblegum techno feel and I think it was a nice choice for single without giving too much of the albums feel away to the listener.

Overall, all the song are nice, but these are the one I feel are 100% excellent. I HIGHLY recommend this album Clazziquai fans or anyone who's into techno.

PS I love how the pigs are still incorporated into the album cover (on the mask). ^_^
