September 17, 2006 Beautiful and inspiring albumI heard rumours of how this album lacked a lot of what people wanted from her previous albums and I totally disagree. A*Mei's just maturing and growing stronger. Though not as vocally great, for I feel her voice is somewhat straining and husky now, she still sounds great!
My favourite track has to be the title track with A*Mei showcasing her voice in one of her top notch ballads. Though slow and somewhat boring, the track does build up into one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. Track 8 is a great song, with traditional sounding vocals that fit into a rock song. It does however get rather repetitive and last for a long time, but the song really shows off A*Mei's skills of singing different genres, in this case, rock.

Love, Again (Japan Version)
September 16, 2006 3 beautiful trackssona is a rather underrated artist both in Korea and in Japan, though she got some notice with this single. sona has a very pleasant and airy voice, which fits perfectly with the type of songs she sings.
Love, Again is a beautiful and somewhat medium paced ballad. Though it's nothing that will will blast you away, it's very enjoyable when you want something gentle to listen too. Starry, the b-side isn't that bad of a song. It lacks the emotion that Love, Again had, but it's still very nice to listen too. It's a little slower than the previous song, but isn't one of those really really slow paced ballads. The last song is the piano version of the title track. I really love this version and it's just as beautiful as the original. This version however sounds a lot more depressing than the original, but it'll allow you to hear sona's very nice voice.

I did hear her song Yesterday when I was browsing around after I ordered and really started getting into her. Park Hye Kyoung has a very nice and gentle voice, which can be very powerful on rare occasions.
This album is really good, with it's mixes of folk like sounding songs, some little jazzy sounding songs and beautiful ballads. I would say she's very similar to Stefanie Sun because her voice is rather gentle and a majority of her songs are light rock.
I personally found that the title track was great! The song has a very mystical feeling and folklike feeling to it which does take some time to get used too. Track 6 is a great upbeat song that's alot of fun to just jump around too. Somewhat childish sounding, it sounds like something aiko would sing! Track 9 is possibly my favourite track though. It's a very emotional ballad where PHK actually showcases her powerful voice. I was so surprised when I heard the song because of it's darkness and sadness.
Great album, something I would definitely suggest my friends to get because of the upbeat sounding songs, but with something that anyone would really enjoy!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

September 16, 2006 Nice enjoyable songsFor a debut album, Daylight did surprise me. When I ordered this, there were no reviews on her, so I was sorta've cautious. I bought the album for the cover. xD But I was really hoping for something along the lines of Michelle Branch or YUI.
This album is pretty good. The songs are upbeat and enjoyable. Daylight's voice isn't what you call the best. She has a high pitched voice that sounds somewhat uncontrollable at certain parts during the songs, but her voice matches them.

I personally felt that the ballads were really good. Especially the title track, which I felt was very touching and emotional. Her voice really matches with this kind of style of style and I hope her next album will have more ballads like this album did.
However, I must be honest. I thought the latin dance tracks weren't that great. They seemed to lack something that kept me interested in them. I've never been a huge fan of latin sounding music, but I was hoping for something a lot more into my face from Baek Ji Young.

She looked great and I was hoping for something a little less hiphop and a little more pop or ballad-ish. That wasn't the case.
I felt the songs got to be rather boring after you heard them the second time around. They lack the thing that I enjoy from artists like Namie Amuro. They never really grabbed my attention and kept me there.
However, Bin's voice does make up for it a bit. Her voice isn't that bad, but not great. Her voice fits the music well and really blends into it.
Pros: Good vocals

IAM (Japan Version)
September 14, 2006 Lacking...Uehara Nami isn't what you call..."great". This single was basically everywhere. IAM was a decent and catchy track, though Nami's vocals are totally, totally off. She lacks the control needed. Balance sounds a lot better, trackwise and vocally, however her voice is still flying around.

September 14, 2006 Great!This is one of the first Kpop albums I ordered and I'm glad that I did. Lee Soo Young has a powerful and emotional voice that sets her apart from her female rivals. This album was full of great tracks that'll leave you wanting from her.
My favourite track would have to be 2, which is an emotional ballad that starts off low and dark, but ends up powerful, leaving you at the edge of your seat. Track 4 is another ballad with a more upbeat feeling, however it's just as powerful as the last track. Even the bonus I believe in Japanese is great and is a great way to end the album!

September 13, 2006 Not badI was hoping for something a little more surprising. This album does have some good songs, however, it also has some rather dull and boring ones. The first cd is pretty enjoyable, with some nice and catchy songs, but once I listened to the second cd, I felt that the remixes were somewhat useless. This song though, was so amazing. She is an incredible singer with an incredible voice. This song shows her range and power. This song also grasps you with its incredible melody and amazing lyrics.
