October 14, 2005 Great, fun, album!
S.H.E starts off with a solid album! That's what I love about them, even though this album is a few years past, but S.H.E has always followed the "solid" trend. Every song is good, especially "Re Dai Yu Lin". Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
October 14, 2005 Optimistic album
The cover is not my taste, but the album is good anyways. There are a few English songs, which I don't mind. Overall the album is happy, exciting, and fun. October 14, 2005 Excellent, solid, album
I love everything, the booklet, the look, the songs, the compostition, and the voices. I think Selina does a very good job singing her parts in this particular album. If you're wondering which SHE album to buy, then do buy this one! It is a jem from beginning to end, especcial "He Bin Gong Yuan" and "Superstar". Did you find this review helpful? October 14, 2005 A very solid album, but not their best
I love S.H.E'S music recently, and this album does goes with my expectations. All the songs are very catchy, and my favorite is "I Love You", a cover of "More Than", by Sweetbox, which is good as well. S.H.E does a good job covering songs this time. I bought this album in overseas version at a local music store a while ago, and I think that is very good! Everything, from the booklet, to her voice, to the music, is extremely soothing and sweet sounds for the ear. Matsu's voice is simple, yet difficult for any other artist to attempt. October 14, 2005 A great step up from kiss in the sky
I love the 'Kiss in the Sky' album, which I thought was perfect. I listened to this album, and boy it is just as perfect! Although it is only 10 songs, all of the songs are A+ quality, and well-worth your 18 dollars. You have to listen to this album to know what I mean. As for the songs, they're mainly ballads, which I love to hear from MISIA. Imo this album is great buy along with 'Kiss in the Sky', which is mainly pop/r&b. With both, you've got the best of MISIA! October 14, 2005 Great songs, best album
This album is not perfect, but imo the best album of Elva since her debut. My favorite is "map of happiness" and the remix of it. The songs fit very well with the New York theme. I am so glad to see that Elva enjoyed her trip. The album is created with feeling and heart. October 14, 2005 It's alright, catchy too but definitely not Coco's
It's a good attempt at an English album...I'm pretty sure that many western pop listeners will like this album, but personally I think this album is just so-so. The songs have catchy beats, but after a few listens they all sound quite similar, except for "Magic Words" (the only song in which Coco uses her REAL voice). The rap parts are pretty cool, and I wished the Korean rapper rapped in more songs. Anyway, don't buy this until you have listened to Coco's real music (hints/so crazy)! October 13, 2005 It's Ok.I had high expectations for this album, but I was quite dissapointed when I recieved it with the DVD version. The originals are ovbiously much better, and I think some of the compositions were manipulated a little too much, losing the good taste. I like Karen's, Coco's, and Joey's songs in this album in that the music is not great but the voices are strong. The 7 points I gave for this album is basically for them only. All else was mediocre material. I particularly dislike Harlem's song for Lion King. He ruined the beauty of Elton John's talent, so I recommend that you skip that track completely. The DVD was quite brief, but kept me entertained for a while. In conclusion I suggest that you don't buy this album, unless you're a great Cpop fan. Did you find this review helpful? October 13, 2005 Good but not perfectMy favorite track from this mini-album/single, is the spectacular 'GLAMOROUS SKY'. It is a rock song that does not cover any part of Mika's gentle voice. Mika pulled it off so well! My other favorite is MY MEDICINE, which is a song in English. At first I thought Mika was singing another Japanese song, but then I looked at the lyrics sheet- it's it's in English! Lol, Mika's English is still very shaky, but the song itself is very catchy and awesome. BLOOD is also very good and catchy, but not as good as the others. Imo ISOLATION has too much rock noise and no catchy chorus, so I guess that's the flaw. Lastly the pictures in the mini-cover sheet are very cool. I love Mika's look in the NANA outfit. October 13, 2005 A New Refreshing Album from VickiOkay, so when I first listend to my 'Piao' CD that I got (to try it out). , I was disappointed. So then I put it away and never took it out again. This was because I never really liked Vicki's voice.
Now DOUBLE comes out. I read the reviews and most of them were positive, with 5 stars. I was really surprised. The cover obviously is beautiful (I like Vicki's appearance), but I still had no ambition to buy it. A while later I listened to some sample songs online, and at the first listen I was like, "Ok, this is not bad!" Then I bought the album and listened some more, and boy am I amazed! Vicki's voice has improved so much, and I probably didn't notice before since I didn't listen to 'Piao' as thoroughly. I started listening to this album everyday, and I still love it. Vicki's voice is pure and solid at the same time. There are a variety of genres, with ballads that are not too slow and poppy songs that have charisma. This album gives me a refreshed, relaxing feeling. It's good to listen to when you're alone or stressed. I now definitely will give my "Piao" CD another chance. Vicki has definitely went beyond my expectations! I want to wish her the best of luck in her movie/music career, and hope to see/hear more from the talented Vicki. The album is not the best, compared to Ayu's standards, but definitely a great buy! Album songs like About you, my name's WOMEN, liar, HOPE or PAIN, and lastly Humming 7/4!! All the singles are smash-hits, along with beautiful/pleasing interludes. This is a full-length album with no fillers, but a lot of style (mostly rock). September 13, 2005 1,5,10 are the only decent songs
If I'm correct, one of the songs is a cover of SweetS? I loved Cyndi in "Loves You" and her debut. Why did Cyndi degrade herself? I will still support her, but I just wish that she chooses better songs. After all, Cyndi does have a very sweet and touching voice. In this album, she does not sound good singing the "poppy", giddy songs, and not to mention that the Ai Otsuka cover sounds bad too. I thought the VCD was stupid too. The "dance lessons" are so pointless...and you can obviously tell that she's "pushing" a cutsey image using the MVs. She was fine the way she was, why this now? Did you find this review helpful? Good: 2,3,6,7 A step up from her previous albums! But, for some reason Jolin is not one of my favorite artists. I bought the $14 preorder edition, but this one is only 9.99!! What're they trying to do?! This is the only aspect that I abhor. Otherwise, a lot of the songs are really catchy.
