I usually get the albums featured him as guest artist. His tracks usually turn out to be among my favorites, e.g. Ignition in one of Epik High's albums. His voice is different from other korean singers. It's crisp and clear, yet gentle and kind of soothing sometimes. His tracks always get my attentions.
Back to this CD which I have rated Tracks 1 and 4, both ballads with 5 stars. Tracks 2 and 3 are mid and fast tempo r&bs with 3 and 4 stars ratings. I don't like how both tracks are being dominated by the drums which is kind of distracting. However, you should get this CD if you like Na Yoon Kwon.

July 25, 2009 Very Good! Score:95/100I don't have much comments to make because of the excellent and well written reviews by Hoody and SarangAsianMusic. I think each fan will find his/her favorite photos or chapters in this photo book. I tried to read the content in the first chapter on the car race which looks nice with a beat up car, but it totally doesn't make sense to me! So, I skipped to read the last chapter which gives me a glimpse of their private selves other than what I have learned from other sources e.g. their All About Dong Bang Shin Ki Season ll.
On the printing (deduction of 5/100 for score):Do yourself a favor. Wrap the book cover in thin plastic film like the school kids to their books, lol! It will save the accident prone fans from unnecessary heart aches because the weight of the book will rip the separate cover page. Because the printing paper are so thin, photos with light color backgrounds like the skies can see through the previous pages.
Dimension: (1.7 x 20.5 x 27 in cm) shorter in length than the Paris Series.
This is my third preference after the Prince in Prague and the Paris Series Books.

Out of the 5 tracks vocal tracks, track 3 is the only one that got a 5 stars iTunes rating from me. The drums in Track 2 are exceedingly loud and dominating almost the whole song which is unusual with Korean ballads or r&bs. The other 4 stars tracks are Track 4 and Love 911. I'm sorry to say that the female vocals in the second half of track 2 do not appeal to me at all, other wise it is another excellent track by K. Will.
I remember K. Will sings this wonderful track, Dream in Rain's drama series. I also have his other album which is very good and I almost wrote a review for it. He tends to have a lot of guest artists in his CDs which I think might not be a very good idea because he sings better than most of them. I think he is at his best singing alone. But that's just my personal opinion.

July 19, 2009 Excellent Rock Music & Violin Playing!I like this CD a lot! I have rated all tracks with 5 stars. The violin parts in the second halves in both tracks of Sayonara are played by the talented and handsome You, Gackt's violinist and guitarist. Gackt is more than being hip and talented, he is the 'bomb', lol! So, check this out if you like rock music or curious of Gackt who is also excellent in ballads. This CD is a little too techno for my taste. If you take apart the music, Lee Min Woo's vocals are really attractive and pleasing. Summer Time is my only 5 stars track and the rest are 4 stars and track 1 is a three stars. Track 4 could easily become a 5 stars track for me if the techno sound is improved slightly. The packaging is really pretty and solid. So get it!

No surprise because he continues to deliver in a good ballad. His track is the only one that I have rated with a 5 stars, and even so it is not perfect. But this is a good CD because I rediscover Hun who is in tracks 4 and 7. His voice is very soothing, kind of similar to Isu of M.C. The Max. His vocals don't have the smoothness like other singers because he has a few notes that he sounds kind of coarse. However, this is what sets him apart because he sounds very natural and not overbearing. I have given 4 stars to both of his tracks. Track 8 gets another 4 stars from me.

(4)Our Price: US$43.99Related promotions:July 17, 2009 A Pretty & Artistic Comic Book? 9/10I bought this movie mainly for the reason that Lee Byung Hun and Jung Woo Sung are the leading actors. Like Kara, I'm not a fan of western or cowboy movies and so I didn't have much expectations. I watched this movie like I was reading a comic book. I didn't pay much attention to character developments because my attentions were mostly on the screen with its colorful and artistic designs. The director is artistic and all three of his antagonists were well chosen. He did spent a lot of efforts. In my opinion, the movie could have been better if it was shorten and less lavish in its style.
Since Mr. Kevin Kennedy mentioned the rock star hair style, I just want to add that Lee Byung Hun is one of the best actors and he can be anything that he wants to be on screen. My 5 stars iTunes favorite tracks are Track 3, Fever and Far Away, and the rest are all 4 stars. The tempo of some of the tracks are faster than their regular ballads and I don't think that they are rocks, more like fast r&bs. Anyway, if you like Isu who is one of my favorite singers and M.C the Max, you have to get this album. I wish a save return of all three members of M.C The Max from their military service! I am a fan of Ju Ji Hoon and I like the adorable Shin Min Ah a lot. Kim Tae Woo is new to me. All three of them did an excellent job. Ju Ji Hoon's charms and flirtations at the beginning of the movie remind me so much of this person that I met when I was in college. I think you pretty much get the idea of the movie if you read the professional reviews. The ending is rather ambiguous, watch it carefully! I recommend watching this movie because it is not pornographic. It is idealistic in exploring the meaning of true love and marriage. Treat it as good entertainment! Did you find this review helpful? I'm happy for Moon Hee Jun who has produced quality music and sings wonderfully, proving that he is absolutely among the top musician/singer group and is my favorite from Korea. Track 1 is a wonderful ballad that carries the tunes from his May Fly in his Triple X album. Justen listen to him reaffirmed my opinion of him as the best balladeer/rocker one can find, like Hyde of L'Arc~en~Ciel, my other favorite. If you like rock ballads, do not miss Toy and Why. The music in Toy might slightly overtakes his voice at the later part of the track because of the loudness. The last track is absolutely beautiful, showing Hee Jun's musical talents and sensibility. Get this CD if you are a music lover!

Tracks 19, 20 & 21 are American Broadway Jazz which I do not like at all.
The Monologue album, if I'm not mistaken was the number one selling CD in Korea in the year it was released. It bespoke of the quality of the CD and popularity of Kim Dong Ryul who has absolutely a wonderful voice. I'm repeating that I love track 4, the Latin flavor track which absolutely is the best in terms of melody and his singing skills. I think it is due to the fact that he was classically trained as a singer and studied at one of the top modern music colleges in the US that his music has influences from Yo-Yo Ma, my beloved cellist, Astor Piazolla and some American jazz music. I like Kim Dong Ryul the best when he sings mid range with a lot of feelings and emotions. He reminds me of Andrea Bocelli, my favorite Italian singer who sings from his heart.
All in all, it's kind of hard to give you an overall feel of the two concerts since this is not a video. You have to like his voice to appreciate him. To me, some songs in this CD package are a little too slow, some of the guest artists are just okay and occasionally the drums and percussion drag a little. The concerts are not too perfect, but I like Kim Dong Ryul and want to support him.
P.S. I like the V.O.S. latest mini album. They are a quality group and I'm already looking forward to their next album. Also, I ordered K. Will's latest CD after reading your review because I know you are selective. Thanks! :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

He is one of the best from Korea. His voice is like I have said before: Melodic, masculine, soothing and wonderful. The Latin flavor track from his Monologue CD which was influenced by Yo-Yo Ma and Astor Piazzolla is still my favorite from this concert package. The ending of that track is a little weak in the Monologue CD, otherwise it is perfect. Sorry to be so demanding, lol!
I like Kim Dong Ryul the best when he sings the Latin flavor and Korean ballad songs, not the American
influenced jazz which are featured in this package.
My 5 stars tracks are:1,4,5,11,14,27 to 29 and the 4 stars are 7,9,13,17,18,25 & 27.

June 26, 2009 Worth It!Fans of Kim Jung Hoon (John Hoon) should get this magazine because there are ~29 pages of him with nice photos and interviews. Then, there are two really wonderful full size photos of Hero and Micky along with other TVXQ members. I wish I could read Japanese to understand their interviews. Lastly, you should get this if you are a fan of the GazettE. Their photographs are nicely shot. I'm not yet a fan, but the group vocalist has a really attractive voice. I got their Nil album not too long ago and it is worth a listen. I had four 5 stars tracks from their album. If you like Dir en grey, then you probably like the GazettE. You know instantly that Hyde is a gifted singer and that L'Arc~en~Ciel is an excellent rock band. The track, Rainbow is excellent too. The video on Winter Fall is slightly dark and I don't know if this is due to a reprint or not. Like Diana had said, the place where they filmed it is very pretty. But I wish it could have lasted a little longer when they were singing on the plateau. The Dive To Blue mv is about a man falling from a high rise in New York City. There are different kinds of people peeking from the windows during the man's fall and it takes forever for him to reach the ground. While I was watching, I wondered what would happen to him when he reached the ground. In all the mvs, you get to see L'Arc~en~Ciel performing all the time or intermittently. For his efforts, I would give him a 9.5/10 and the music can be better for Cinderella and Hello Super Star. Since I don't understand Japanese, other reviewers can tell you whether he has mastered the language in his singing. The first track is the best music wise one with its fast and pleasant pop composition. Vanness sounds like Gackt at the beginning and the middle of the track without the vibratos. I think he has a very good handle on the Japanese pop sound. Cinderella has rapping in English and is a little boring after a few listens. Hello Super Star is a disco dance type of music with lyrics all in English. All three instrumental tracks have Vanness singing in them. Secondly, Hyde was slightly out of tune in a few of the tracks. But I just love him! He did not disappoint like he was in the Club Circuit 2000 Real Live Concert with the beginning track, Get Out From The Shell, but still not perfect because he was slightly out of tune in the middle of the track. The track that I think he did excellently was 花葬, from their Ray album. It is also my favorite from their 1999 Grand Cross Conclusion Concert (Japan Version). Ken had a little accident during the concert, but he was okay. Overall, L'Arc~en~Ciel performed reasonably well. They still got it after all those years, even though they are maturing. They are however, each musically talented, full of charisma and I just love them regardless! :)
The packaging of this DVD is very pretty. It has a gold color slipped on case, similar to TVXQ's 'O' concert DVD case, but much thicker in construction.

I would get this if I were you. The It's Stylish photo book was a disappointment for me because they looked like they were suffering a bit from the scorching heat. Micky's solo picture was the worse. I couldn't forgive the stylist and photographer to make such a horrific picture of Micky. Anyway, It's personal taste as to what photo books you would like. DO NOT get it if you are a first time listener to L'Arc~en~Ciel unless you are a real jazz lover. This album shows the imaginative side of the band. They are truly wonderful musicians with creativity. The titles from this album are interesting, e.g. Swell in The Sun, a [system in chaos mix] and Fate [everyone knows but God mix]. The sound in Swell in The Sun is heavy metal with a primitive feel and it sort of reminding me of Dir en Drey's with its soft human cry in the background. I only give a 3 stars rating to this track and to the remixes of Fate, ~Lose Control~ and L'heure because they are kind of monotonous.
My favorite in this CD is Track 9, 'Real Imagination'[out of the reality mix#2], (original track from The Best of L'arc~en~Ciel c/w album). Hyde's vocals in this track is really jazzy and sexy, showing that he is an absolutely fantastic jazz singer. The synthesizer sound is well mixed in this track. Go for it if you like heavy jazz, otherwise you won't be able to tolerate it. :)
My other favorite track is the remix of Metropolis [android goes to be a deep sleep mix], (original track from 'L'Arc~en~Ciel's Ark album). This track gives me a feeling of a big urban area. It's not perfect, my rating is 9.5/10 for this one.
My 4 stars rating tracks are the remix of my favorite track (burial of flowers) from their Ray album and Cradle[down to the moon mix].Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
