June 9, 2006 rammiealright..i have heard of her since 2005..but then her debut has been delayed from last summer till now..and it's finally out..i have to admit..i'm a bit happy & disappointment..rammie's voice isn't as great and strong as janice/jill/ivana..but she does try really hard in improving herself..i'm great that she works hard..but it's just not hard enough..there were some good songs in the album..but her voice couldn't deliver it too well...as the for the songs..all the mandarin songs in the cd were just the mando verisons of her canto songs (even though i'm not quite suprised)..so it really makes the cd only like 7 songs..and pretty much..4-5 of them i alreayd heard on the radio last year...so i'm quite disappointment on the number of songs she has in this debut..now onto the songs itself..track 1 was alright..the melody + voice was quite normal..not too oustanding..track 2 was very fast and upbeat..i like the beat..and she sung the lyrics very fast too..so it's good for a new singer to perform this type of song..track 3 was the best to me..her voice was well delivered here..it gave me a happy/relaxing feeling..it's not as fast nor slow of song (i.e. medium paced)..quite good..i kept listening to it again n again..tracks 4-6 were normal missing out the spark songs..although there are different genres displayed (karaoke feel, r&b, hip hop)..and as for track 7..i thought it would be a great song..since it was composed by mark lui..but again..the song has a normal melody..nothing too memorable..and rammie's voice again wasn't delivered too well...overall..i give it a 7..i think rammie does have some potenital..but she needs to work a lot harder on performing her voice...and her music company can seriously do some re-marketing..on promotion..on song selections..and pretty much everything in the music part..rammie's look/image is alright..she's not very pretty..but still pretty..w/very long legs..lol..work hard rammie..hope u can have your 2nd debut soon Did you find this review helpful? June 1, 2006 stephy debut #2the cd has been released for a while..but i recently just heard all of the songs in the album..first off..i like how they're all new songs in this debut..no more unplugged/remakes of her older songs..seconldy..stephy's voice changed dramatically..all of her songs she sang were very high...providing a soft melodious voice..but in my opinion..it gets a bit too annoying..it sounds like she's squeaking..giving me an uneasy feeling...as for the songs..not all of them are very memorable to me...they have much of the same feel..there were new trials (i.e. new genres of music) included..but they're just missing that spark...the songs that really got to me were track 3/12..7 and 10..track 3/11..to begin with has a very nice melody..it really gives a smooth and calm feeling as i was listening to it..the duet verison suits really well for karaoke..as i would like to sing too..track 7 again another memorable smooth/calm feeling as i listen...and track 10..has a nice new feeling..as stephy incorporated many chinese instrucments as the music..and with the melody..they blended well together..and stephy's voice was well delivered...not as high-pitched and annoying as the others..overall..it's another nice try for stephy..hope there's more improvements for her next cd..and songs that will really give a hit Did you find this review helpful? May 28, 2006 all about women!after having all about men..tvb finlaly released an all about women cd..i enjoyed pretty much all of the songs...all singers/actresses have fantastic singing abilities..this cd is a great success..bernice/charmaine/myolie have a wonderful singing voice..i really like the 2 songs by bernice..both were very well performed..bernice has a very melodic voice..suitable for the songs she sung..the song from the "dance of passion" was a bit weird..even though it suited the series itself..but i didn't like the music arrangements too well..miriam's song i think is one of the best..composed by justin..it has his style of music and a nice r&b feel...i also enjoy the duet by kary+stephy..they both have excellent voices..so it matches very well together..i'd only wished they had more songs in this album..10 songs to me wasn't enough!..hope they release another one soon! this was a great cd..finally..jade kwan has come back to hk music..producing great music for the public!!..jade's voice is qutie amazing..i like her high vocal ranges..and how she can change her voice..all the songs in this album really brings out her voice..i enjoy track 2 the best..it has a really nice jazz feel (even though i'm not into jazz) and it gives a happy/warm feeling as i listen..track 3 and 5 were bad either..and i also liked track 8...this album is a good start for jade's comeback..hope she continues to bring good music in the near future..hk music industry needs u! May 17, 2006 wonderfuleason has be known for his great voice talent and hardworking-ness...after hearing this concert cd..his live skills were quite amazing..even though there were some parts that didn't sound as great..but due of the fact he was ill during the concert period..it's considered very good..his voice is great..able to change into many different tones/moods and emotions were very well expressed..i can't wait to see the vcd/dvd for it..hope it is as good as hearing it Did you find this review helpful? i didn't expect rainie would release her next cd that fast..usually taiwan singers wait till like..6 months or so for their next release..i thought all this rush might not be as good..but i was wrong..i enjoyed very track in this album..rainie's voice is very smooth and cute..especially when singing those 'cutie' feel songs like track 7..i really like tracks 1, 2 and 3..the flow on how these 3 tracks are arranged is well done..u can first listen to the funky/fast paced singing side of rainie..then the slow ballad side..then the normal paced side of rainie..she's able to transform herself into different types of music..well done..let's hope her next cd would be another great hit..but try to stop releasing 2nd edition or celebrating verison or whatever please..they are just a waste of money Did you find this review helpful? (6)Our Price: US$22.49Related promotions:April 22, 2006 not badafter hearing michael's famous "tong hua"..i gave another chance to listen to his new cd..i have to admit..michael is a great composer..his slow ballads are very smoothing and great to listen to..but i feel they are a bit simliar to his last release..the same feel..not that there's nothing wrong w/it..but maybe he could try doing some new rearrangements next time..i really enjoy track 1 (commitment) and 2 (all for you)..the piano music is very well performed..i've been looking online to see any piano sheets for these two songs..cause they sound so good to my ears..michael's singing ability is not that bad either..he has a good voice..but could use a bit more emotion..keep up the good work michael Did you find this review helpful? April 22, 2006 excellentthis is another successful cd by eason..i'm glad he switched music companies..all his songs so far are magificent..i like very song in this album..most of them are middle-paced to slow jams..and each song has its own uniqueness..i like tracks 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7..that's almost all the tracks in his EP..haha..track 3 was first released..it's a slow song..the melody is quite nice..there's not a lot of music..so you can really hear his vocals..and the lyrics was well written too..it's about best friend and betrayal..tracks 1 and 2 are bit middle-paced..they have a jiggy feel..well for me that is..it's nice to listen..nothing annoying..and track 6 is composed and written by eason..a song about his daughter..very nicely done..looking forward to eason's next release Did you find this review helpful? April 21, 2006 something newin celebrating go east's 10th year..the music company found quite a perfect match w/singer collaboration..i was suprised as how the singers were matched up...i only heard this cd once..but all the songs were okay..maybe i will like them a bit more after i listen to it a few more times..but some songs were quite well done..for example..kelly and liza's "freedom goddess"..along w/the song performed by eason + jacky cheung...some of the voices in the blend quite well together..but some didn't..i didn't like the collaboration of jordan's performance..the little girl's voice didn't quite match w/his..but overall..this cd is something new that hasn't been released in the industry..i would recommend anybody buying it..even if u do/do not like the collorbating singers or not Did you find this review helpful? April 21, 2006 not bad..the 2nd cd released by niki..and i have to said..it improved from her last release..track 1..is a new feel niki has taken into..a fast song which she dances to as well..it's a new feel..but i personally think it didn't quite make the cut..there's too much sounds/music going on at the same time..the melody doesn't really flow..it's a nice try..but could work more next time in trying new things..track 5 was her 2nd single released..it's a sad slow ballad..performed quite nicely..niki's overall performance had improved from her cd..but there's still a lot of improving to do..for example..trying to reach the high notes..and expressing emotions..niki does have a good voice..but i would prefer her..spending more time into learning music..rather than trying to act tvb series and singing at the same time..her songs weren't doing quite nicely on the radio stations..so i believe a lot more work could be done..anywhos..if anybody is interested in this cd..i would recommend tracks 2, 5 and 6 Did you find this review helpful? April 21, 2006 great!i dun think a lot of people have heard about jolie..i believe it's the lack of promotion..and how the way her music company works..jolie is a talented fantastic singer..i'm glad she switched music companies..cause this cd is a great success..i love track 3 (don't miss out this world)..the lyrics are quite nice..and it gives me a good feeling...track 1 is quite different to the songs jolie usually sings..it's a fast paced song..quite energertic..and seeing jolie perform it (live and non-live) was done quite well..the only thing i wasn't satisfied w/this cd was the number of tracks..there were 7 tracks in total..but 2 are remixes..1 is a mandarin verison of the same cantonese song..so it really makes it only 4 new songs..hope her music company would put more effort into promoting jolie..she is a very talented artist..and the hk music industry today needs these kind of singers! April 21, 2006 quite goodi like justin to begin with..his voice is magnificent..and the songs are good too..after hearing his 2nd debut..i wasn't totally disappointed..but a bit suprised too..i haven't really thought that justin would take that big chance in his music trend..well..for the songs "battle the rich boy", volar and "dream girl"..these songs were a 360 change from his usual slow songs..some comments have been made on his new songs as to be copying other singers..i admit..volar and "battle the rich boy" does sound like a bit of akon's lonely..black eyed peas' my humps and usher's yeah!..but i think it's the way how the music is made..and how it's shaped that made it sound similar..justin/mark lui worked hard together composing these songs..it's not their usual songs that they composed..i think it's a good start for both of them..with a bit more creativity and experience..their next songs would be a great hit..onto justin's slow songs..and it matches quite nicely in cd..most of them does have a karaoke feel..but w/justin's singing ability...it's really hard to sing as close to what he can do in the cd..so i think the slow songs are great..hope justin keeps up his good work..looking forward to his next cd Did you find this review helpful? April 21, 2006 it's an okay debutafter hearing jill's debut..i have to say..i'm quite surprise..first of all..i believe jill is one of the singers which will target the audience w/fast paced songs rather than slow ballads (like her sister, janice)..a lot of people had been comparing the two sisters..but i find it quite difficult to compare..as their music trends are quite different..but jill's singing ability is as excellent as janice's..that's the only thing i can compare..besides the appearance (jill is a bit skinner)...anyways..back to the cd..i have to say the lyrics are a bit cheesy..for example "i like to break your heart and eat it like a tart"..you can't really blame jill on this one..it's the lyricist who wrote the lyrics..and i believe the lyricist is the all time famous lin xi..i suppose this is lin xi's first time trying to write so many english lyrics into a song..so it made the lyrics a bit cheesy..i think a bit of improvement would make the lyrics better..onto the music..their very hip hop, r&b feel..a bit of american music..jill mostly sang her songs in english although there is some cantonese..but i would like either the song in pure english or pure cantonese..cause the two mixed together doesn't seem to quite flow very well...as for the songs..i would recommend track 1, 4, 5, 6..i believe jill would be very hit in the near future..let's hope her next debut would be a better success Did you find this review helpful? it's been almost a year since she became a solo artist. was looking very forward to this. and it definitely didn't disappoint me.
i enjoyed most of the songs in the album. i like how kary is able to corporate differ genres of music w/her voice. her voice it's just amazing.
i like track 3 (and the mandarin verison - track 11). it has a nice feel and an overall catchy-ness. track 4, track 7 are also good songs. i really recommend this to anybody. but just a head's up. kary's style is more punk/rock-ish type. for example, track 1 (with a boy like you) has a lot of rock in it, it's not soft ballads compared to stephy.

January 29, 2006 excellent concert!i finally got the chance to see this concert..and it was fantastic..the song selection was great..it didn't bored any of the audiences..kelly was very successful in selling the grand theme..everything in the concert were very beautiful..her live singing has improved greatly from her last concert..pretty much everything was great in this concert..the dancing..the effects..the clips from the china tour were quite interesting as well..but the only bad thing about this concert..i would have to say it the editing/cutting..there were parts that's been cut off..which could've made the concert 10 times more better..but overall..fantastic concert..everybody should watch it! December 18, 2005 hurrayfinally..fiona got a new cd out..and yes..it's a cd with new songs..not recorded from concert..only the dvd is from concert..
i'm more interested in the concert..i wonder how fiona is like in live..before her live skills were quite horrible..now that they've improved..i want to see!!!..but suprisingly..the concert did not have the "keanu reeves reply" song..that's like the song which made her hit..hmm.pretty weird..

i was really excited to hear krusty's cd coming out . but i got my hopes too high . i expected their cd to have like 10 songs . not 5! . their cd release date has been dragging ever since summer . onto the songs . they disappoint me . only the first song is considered a good hit . i can see they're tryign to take different kinda of music genre and mix it together . but it's not really working . it gets irratiting sometimes . i only like the first song . and the last song is okay material . i hope krusty will do better for their next cd . i believe they can succeed Did you find this review helpful? September 22, 2005 excellent cd!i finally heard all of the songs in kelly's new mandarin album..2 years of production has finally paid its effort..it deserves a 10/10!!...the first track "freedom" is a catchy hip-hop/techno dance beat...kelly's dancing in the video is absolutely amazing..and good vocals performed...2nd track..it's adapted from a korean song..it showed kelly's powerful side of her voice..but i believed she could spend some more time in the recording studio...i did not find it too satisfying..but i can tell kelly has used a lot of effort in production the sounds..track 3 is the best track..sooth melody + arrangement of music track 4..another soothing melody however..i like track 3 better..track 5 is another great song..the lyrics were very well written..the music, melody and arrangements suits perfectly for the mood of the song track 6 is remake of polar snow..both artists show a good combination with their vocals..the song originally is already good..so a remake still holds its good qualities track 7 is the written from the same composer for kellys diary the song is written very nicely..a good continuation from her previous song track 8 is my 2nd favourite song very deep emotions involved w/kellys singing track 9..i did not enjoy it as much the music arrangement seems weird but its from a tv series..so not much comment track 10 and 11 remake of dae jang geum theme songs..both are performed as well as her cantonese versions..track 12 is the cantonese version on freedom but the lyric content is different from freedom well written by wynman overall..the cd is fantastic..the music videos are beautiful..kelly truly expressed her emotions into the crying scenes recommended tracks: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Did you find this review helpful?
