February 1, 2008 J-Lim = J-Lo ???This album is a good attempt by a Korean artist trying to be a Westerner. The songs are OK or bad, none are really good. When she sings with JYP, she sings through her nose soooooo badly. >_< The song with Outkast would be good, but Outkast is terrible.
I wanted to look into her because she collaborated with Rain and I liked that song, but this isn't very good when it comes to originality, showcase of true talent, and individuality! She sounds like a ripoff of Alicia Keys, Keisha Cole, etc. If she comes into America, she'll semi-blend. She's not honoring who she actually is...this is her FINAL Korean-language album...why try and be American????? She's Korean. =/ I don't see why she can't do both languages. Besides, the title "Before I Go J-Lim" is more like "Before I Go Mainstream & Try To Be Cool"...I mean "J-Lim"? Couldn't J-Lo get her in trouble for that??????
Her voice is good in some songs, but not so good in others! v_v I was extremely disappointed in this and I won't be looking into any more of her albums..you know...how come people get into Asian music because it's "different" from American music, but when an Asian artist starts doing American style...it's hailed and seen as a "breakthrough" or somein...n_n'' i don't get it.Did you find this review helpful? January 29, 2008 yikes.....I always liked SHOW and thought he was a cute and funny guy. He has a really good voice, so I thought I'd check out this album! I wanted to give him a try, u know... n_n'' it was not very good though. From the opening song to the end, I was left with an awkward face. O.o ?? like..."THIS is Show Luo!?" I don't know if he does music like this all the time or if its just on this album. This album is NOT dance worthy. XD I listened to the entire thing instead of just samples and I was just...??? afterwards. =/ The dance songs were very dull and too repetive!!...and the song with that girl in it would be good, but she sings very badly to me so it's ruined by her voice. x_X
I honestly don't remember not 1 song in a good way. O.o I hope his past albums are better. Can someone tell me if they are???? He's got a nice voice...just..eeeeeeek..i take back what I was going to say previously....he may be a nice guy, but even I can't be THAT baist. Consider the previous review my "before I recieved the original and heard the full songs"...^.^ I have become a very big fan of Vincy through this album. I love every song but not so much the Chinese version of "Close To You"...I don't think the words fit the melody like the original English version. Anyway! The MVs are great and I love to watch them repeatedly on my TV! The 2 bonus CDs recording the audio of her latest tour got me soooooooo excited about the DVD version that was released today!! ^_________^ It's gonna be something to watch!! Can't wait to order! OoOoOoOo..!! ANTICIPATION! GWAAAAH!!
Vincy has Hong Kong quite up and in a stirr over her!! Hehehe..no wonder...she has such a beautiful voice..like I imagine an angel to have. Her style will appeal most definitely to fans of Faye Wong and Fish Leong!!

She sings with a voice of an angel and I can't believe this is her debut! She has a true God-given gift. n_n After hearing how great "Feelings" was, I listened but I think it's just a tad bit overrated. XD It may be better than the original, but I don't like the musical arrangement in the least!!!! >_< sounds weird. I perfer "You Me She", which is so beautiful and heartfelt. Vincy is going to be a great big star in the industry one day and she's got the voice to prove that theory! ^_____^-V

January 24, 2008 Surprising!!
I had no idea that Fish Leong was so good, even on her debut! She sounds soooo beautiful n_n buuut the problem is the music. Alot of the songs have a rockish/country feel and I hate country! eek! Fish does do some beautiful notes and there's a few good songs I really enjoy. I wouldn't really say "you have to get this album!" because it's not a big loss if it's not in your collection, but true Fish fans may want it anyway! I really think the price should be reduced to 9$, that way more people will be tempted to give it a try.... =/ a bit too pricy for such an old album.

January 22, 2008 What a BEAUTIFUL VOICE! *o*
The only song I had ever heard by Faye Wong was "Eyes On Me" up until now. The song is one of my favorite FFVIII melodies, but I never really thought Faye's voice was all that good in that song. Yet...when I listened to a few of her albums, I was shocked O.O !! She has a gorgeous voice and sings in one of my favorite styles - an opera-like style but in an enchanting/haunting way unlike the typical opera you often hear that sounds like screaming. >_< It's soft, well-controlled, beautiful, and emotional. Some gifted Chinese singers have perfected ballad-type songs to where I think their ballads are the most beautiful to ever exist. Special, rare, and pure as if untouched by mortals. It's just angelic. I could listen to ballads by Faye Wong, Fish Leong, and Vincy Chan alllllllllll day.
My only complaint is that I wish Faye Wong would've stepped a little outside the box and tried singing with her original tone more like featured in "Eyes On Me" which had only a bit of falsetto and showed her natural voice more without all the echo effects added along with it. While her soft falsetto is what she perfers to sing in...it can get boring to some and will seem like it just drags on forever because her songs are often pretty long.
Faye Wong's music is a nice escape from the "modern music" that society showcases today. It's peaceful and unlike any other professional singers' style. Sometimes, it's so beautiful, it can bring the hardest of people to feel somewhat emotional. I always said that music should be able to speak to your heart and soul.

Some of the acting was pretty bad in parts but the visuals were beautiful and interesting. Once I started watching it, for some reason, I was drawn into the complicated storyline and characters. Zhang Ziyi is a very simple and plain-looking girl but is a pretty good actress some of the time. The ending is beautiful but sad in its way. While I do find this movie often forgettable compared to better Chinese action/romances, it didn't give me that "i can't believe i wasted 2 hours of my life on this!" feeling. I thought the sexual parts brought down the quality of the movie not to mention they were kind of funny and odd!! O.o Anyyyyyyyyywaaay! The orchestra-style music is refreshing to me and always touches my heart!! The stage and the live string section really set the mood. It was VERY beautiful although her vocals were a bit shaky on a few songs. This concert still stands out amongst J-pop concerts that substitute real talent with simple dance moves and catchy melodies. <.< ...anywayyyyyy! Orchestra is my favorite type of music so this was a must for me, even though this DVD is too short! Hitomi's voice fits this style so well! But...I was wrong and this was opposite from everything I was thinking. Unlike its predecessor that contained perversion and bad language, this movie is completely clear of that and you can easily let children watch this! I didn't know the world was still capable of making innocent yet great entertainment with a religious message! While I think Jim Carrey is the funniest guy ever and no one can make me laugh like he can, the main actor of this movie did surprisingly well and had me giggling like mad!! Hehehe! n_n I also LOVE Morgan Freeman! He did perfectly as the role of God. I have been watching this movie every day for the past week and I get such a good feeling from seeing it! =] Never deny Christ, not even in the face of your adversaries. Have faith. Don't stop believing in the greater good - even when you're faced with evil. Want to change the world? January 18, 2008 a lovely debut!
I have heard all of Stephy's albums except her 2'nd one..but so far, this one is the best to me. She seemed to put more emotion into her songs when she started off solo...at least, i think so! I don't really think she's improving, but losing quality instead. =/ it's a shame because she has such a beautiful voice!! I do like Stephy Tang because she has alot of potential..I just wish she would come out of the box a bit. She's very creative though as a person and she's very cute but that doesn't show at all in her music. There's also too many ballads and I don't think that suits her well. >_< This is all just my oppinion though!!

January 14, 2008 overly hyped... XDI heard about Jane Zhang when I saw her performance of "Loving You" a very long time ago. It's true; her high notes are beautiful...but as for everything else, nuh-uh. =S She seems to struggle with the notes except higher parts - falsetto. This album just seemed very already-been-there / heard-that-already - too much like everyone else trying to do that soulful, shout-y vocal style! >_< eeeeks! I don't think shouting or screaming super high in a singing manner is all that amazing...in fact, it hurts me ears! >_< I'm sorry..I'm sure she's a sweet girl, but - as an artist - she's just overly hyped..."one of the most talented Chinese language singers"? This one, however, had more work put into it and more heart! n_n-V It was beautiful and had terrific acting compared to the silly little kids they started off as.
The thing that always attracts me to Harry Potter films is the creativity and imagination! =D Dare to think of a world such as this filled with wizards, werewolves, giants, NARGOULS!? Whatever that may be. Hehehehehe. Anyway, it's brilliantly directed and visually stunning! *_* A masterpiece just waiting to be noticed! This one got me very thrilled for the next one!! Unlike the Arena Tour 2002, this has great editting when it comes to combining the actual concert with behind-the-scenes footage! It worked out perfectly. Ayu is adorable, even offstage! n_n Hehehehe! She chased people with a watergun. HEEHEE!!! silly Ayumi!
The way she connected with the audience was so sweet! She was very into everything, hyping the audience and staying positive despite the extreme hot weather conditions. I loved the idea of an outdoor concert and Ayu is the only artist I've known who has had an entire outdoor tour. ^_^-V Very great how everything worked out.
I also love how Ayumi never tries to be something she's not. She's sexy on her own and doesn't have to try hard to be, but she's a lady - never vulgar or gross! >_< This is one of my most favorite DVDs! Ayumi sings sooooooooo good, even while dancing and walking around the stage. The outfit changes were frequent and very nice too!! Oh my goodness! The stage was so biiiiiiig! In this concert, she shreiks alot and can barely hit any of the high notes. Also, she struggled on lower notes too. =/ ??? I also wonder if she was in pain or just showing emotion most the time...but it looked like straining more than anything...she seemed so uncomfortable! x_x
This is important for all true Ayu fans to have though! That's why I got it. ^_^-V Just try to get passed the rough vocals so you can see the true beauty in this show. There is so many sweet, memorable moments...Ayu showed that she is soooo special, even then. I also loved to see that she has NEVER changed - only her musical and singing style has slightly. January 12, 2008 very bad v_vI've been a huge fan of misono, but her career has gone so sour! I loved a good lot her songs though until "Junin Toiro" and this one! =/ The b-sides are usually very bad too. X_X she hasn't had a good one since SPEEDRIVE single!! She's so cuuuuuuute and has such talent! What has happened..? v_v I can tell she's not very happy deep down. i feel bad for her. I hope her upcoming album is good...I preordered it and I have faith. If there are gonna be more dark songs, I hope they're really good unlike this single. I would really like a happy song from her though x_x her music is starting to get slightly depressing....
I've also noticed that her vocal quality is going down. It's like she doesn't try to sound as good anymore...just kinda lets go of control. She sounded SO GOOD in her DAT career...what's happened?? =S I still love you, misono...just please...do something to help yourself. Just please, OH PLEASE do not use your looks to sell. X_x that holds no respect. I still respect you right now...sooooooooooo much.
