unique vocals
| her vocals are very unique and gorgeous. the throat singing that she uses is signature of the region in japan she is from. it shows talent and that is much more than i can say for alot of recording artists out there. to the reviewer that thinks she sounds like she is dying...you can dislike her sound but....that review is a little bit childish....grow up |

Different and beautiful

She has a unique way of singing, and her voice is clear and beautiful. The way she sings is extremely difficult, so everytime I hear her singing "Kimi wo omou", I feel like I´m dreaming! The music for this song is also pretty and unique, and it suits the way she is singing. I must admit though, it took me a bit of getting used to at first, so I listened to the slower song "Oyasumi", which I also love, until I got used to her singing - and started loving it. This isn´t for everybody though, you might not like the way she sings. If you do enjoy beautiful voices, this is for you. |

my personal opinion
| I've noticed that the other person wrote that he/she hated Hajime's voice. But I personally think her voice is beautiful , natural, and alive(not dying). I mean, there are worse singers with more deadly and emotionless voices. Hajime is a combination of sort of country and R&B, and I don't normally listen to R&B (except some Utada and most of Namie Amuro's).Music is really personal inference, and you shouldn't be discouraged by other people's ratings. |

No thanks
| I hate her voice...she sounds like she's DYING when she sings. The only reason I can think of as to why she's so popular is that most artists who sell millions of records don't sound like they're being killed, so maybe people find that unique and it makes them want to buy her CDs. |
