Only 10 first episodes are good, the rest is crap. Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
I have the version released by PMP Entertainment (The Malaysia Version).
Here's the review about the Malaysia Version DVD:
- The eng subtitles are good and they even subbed the song lyrics which I think it was great because it helps getting more in the mood of the drama. The only bad things about the subs is that in a few minutes of a few episodes the subs went out-of-sync, it was annoying but you could still follow and understand what was happening. But in an overall, the subs were very good.
- Picture quality is okay, but my tv is small and old so even if the picture quality wasn't that great I wouldn't notice.
- It comes with extras (Best scenes and NG) and all are english subbed.

And here's my thought about this drama.
Review about this drama:
It has lots of cliches, but the first part of this drama was sweet and touching. It felt like you were watching a romantic movie or one of those touching shoujo animes. There were many beautiful scenes and the character were captivating. BUT... the 2nd part of the drama came and begining from episode 11, 'Winter Sonata' became the worst drama I ever watched! The acting was fine, but the characters started to become annoying and the lines, the plot and everything else became so cheesy and boring. It was like watching one of those terrible soap-opera. The characters had no realistic of believable reasons for their actions, the pace of the drama was slow (3-4 minutes just showing a character crying, 5 minutes showing them playing with snow and lots of other meaningless scenes.). The drama was totally ruined! If this drama had only 10 or even 16 episodes it would have been very good even with all the cliches and repetitive plot. But it had 20 episodes and out of the 10 last episodes, I can count 3-5 scenes that have meaning or deep, the rest was crap.
It was a painful experience having to finish the last 10 episodes of this drama. It's a pity 'Winter Sonata' was ruined like that because I enjoyed the 10 first episodes even though the story was repetitive and full of chiches. Besides that, the actors and actresses were great, but the writer or 'Winter Sonata' mannaged to ruin their characters in such a way that you end hating all characters, except Bae Yong Joon's character that was the only one that remained charismatic and with deep till the end of the serie.

winter love song Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
This was another very slow going romance that needed a lot of patience to watch through. The beginning was unwatchable, a bunch of adults trying to act as high school students. Choi ji Woo is a melancholic beauty, her acting always the same to me--- limited. There was no intensity, no spark, it was like a romance between tired middle age people. I was not feeling compelled to watch it all. The director made the mistake as other dramas, too slow, lost the plot half way.The storyline was dull, not romantic enough for me. I did not like the Bae Boon Joon's acting either, there was just an absence of expression.

Overwhelm Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Mismerized and strucked by this korean drama as I have watched it and being carried away by the two lead stars by their role. I can say that it is the loveliest melodrama I have seen on the screen. An admirer of the two lead strars from Paris.

Heart Warming Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This is the first ever Korean Video I have ever watched. The story line may have been a cliche, but I give full credit to the acting of the cast especially that of Bae Yong Joon. The acting was really superb that he made me cry buckets of tears. His eyes could speak volumes of emotions sans the need of him speaking up - the angst, sadness and even happiness - a consummate actor. I salute the director for his great execution. The scenery was so great and beautiful it made me feel and believe that it's so nice to visit the scenic places shown during winter time.

The heartwarming scenes and the beautiful music are worth reminiscing.

Didn't like it Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
I absolutely loved the beginning of the series, it was so sweet and heart-warming.. sigh! But then, it lost its momentum half-way thru. I think it dragged too much for my liking, and there was not much chemistry between the leads (im a hopeless romantic). Nevertheless, i managed to finish the whole thing, and i just think this drama is just not my style.
