Lee Ji Hoon is definitely one of the most versatile K-artists. He picked up a role as leading actor in a drama & teamed-up with the famous musicians Kangta and Shin Hye Sung calling themselves Group S all within the 2003 period. "Lee Ji Hoon vol.5 - Trinity"- Superbly Solo Having teamed up with Kangta and Shin Hye-sung to form the Project Group "Group S", Lee Ji-hoon returns to his solo career again. No matter which version of this Korean artist appeals to you most, "Lee Ji Hoon vol.5- Trinity" is sure to make you know him better and like him more. Along with the gradual advance in the melody, Lee Ji-hoon on Track 2 holds back nothing but touches our soul with his amazingly strong vocal. With his ever-changing rendition, this track is open to different interpretations. Some may feel as if this hunk is singing softly and affectionately to their ears. Others may find him singing with passion. This track, overall, suits your mood whenever you listen to it. Accompanied by soft piano and stringed music, Lee shows off his mature vocal on "My Last Love". The simple structured melody works best with the lyrics telling the story about a sorrowful broken heart. "U" is an R&B tune featuring the mesmerizing violin music and Lee's diversified rendition. While you can find Lee sing accurately to each note, he still lets himself go in his pursuit of perfection and sings his soul out. Rough edges may be spotted but it is his genuineness that earns the credit. Melodious notes and the above-standard singing skill make Track 7 one of the best ballads on this album. Besides ballads and R&B music, Lee Ji-hoon also makes some new attempts on his fifth solo work. The soul tune "Just For You" and the techno music on track 10 open up new ways for this singer to further explore in the future. More than 2 years ago, when my friend gave me a copy of S, the CD by Lee Jee Hoon, Shin Hye Sung and Kangta, I didn't pay much attention to it because I didn't know who they were. I think I had high resistance toward group singers then. I bought Trinity afterward when it was released and I forgot the reason why I got it. It was among the very first few Korean CDs that I bought. Since then, I stated to buy CDs by Kangta and lately I bought Shin Hye Sung's Love of May. I really love Shin's fantastic voice which needs no introduction. I also like Kangta a lot. But I think Lee Jee Hoon has the most soothing and calming voice among the three and a host of other singers. Track #10 is my favorite. It really calms me down when I am extremely upset. The funny thing is I am not Korean. My other favorite tracks are #9 and #3. |

I lurved S... but i never really liked Lee JiHoon's solo albums. But this time i was pleasantly surprised... I loved the 1st track with HyeSung and Lee Soo Young, it was such a quiet and soothing song... and then i realized the whole album's quiet and soothing as well!... His vocals impressed me this time (*never b4*). Lets just say i m glad i got this album....^^* |

Great Great Comeback Mr. Lee Ji Hoon. Wow, amazing. After years of anticipation, he has surprised me yet again.This is a great album. His voice is so smoothing it gives me the chills.If you liked Group S' Album, buy this album its amazing. He has musically grown.AH i love it. He is such an underated artist but deserves so much more credit. GO BUY IT YOU WONT REGRET IT |
