새로운 시도의 OST가 출시 되었다. 현재 MBC의 간판 미니시리즈로 자리 잡아가고 있는 “원더풀 라이프(연출:이창한, 극본:진수완)”의 OST가 출시 되면서부터 장안의 화제를 일으키고 있다.

보통 드라마 OST라 하면 가수들의 가창곡이 4~5곡이 전부이고 나머지는 배경음악이나 외국곡, 혹은 다른 기존가수의 발표곡으로 채워지기 일쑤인데 반해 이번에 출시된 “원더풀 라이프”는 연주곡이나 기존 발표곡은 눈 씻고 찾아볼래야 찾아 볼 수 없다. 더욱이 어느 곡 하나 버릴게 없다는 게 “원더플 라이프 OST”의 장점이다.

또한 이번 “원더풀라이프”OST의 가수들을 보면 이번 음반이 얼마나 심혈을 기울였는지 알 수 있다. 첫곡 <바보>는 최근 활동준비를 끝마친 박혜경의 귀엽고 발랄한 목소리로 드라마의 타이틀로 사용되고 있고, 그 뒤를 이어 러브홀릭의 메인보컬인 지선이 <조각>이란 노래로 참여하고 있다. 또한 모던락 밴드로 정평이 나 있는 Marry-M의 목소리도 들을 수 있고 신인가수 기후, 서지우, 박채원, Cindy등 다채로운 목소리로 음반을 수 놓고 있다. 음악감독을 맡은 CWH Production의 최완희 감독은 <형수님은 열아홉>, <거짓말> 그리고 영화 <번지점프를 하다>등의 음악감독으로 주목을 받고 있으며 최근 영화 <잠복근무>의 음악감독을 맡아 현재 왕성히 활동하고 있는 신세대 음악감독이다. 신세대적이면서도 음악성을 잃지 않는 그만의 스타일이 “원더풀 라이프 OST”의 중심 역할을 하고 있다. 그리고 벌써부터 시청자들의 귀를 사로잡고 있는 Love 테마인 <너라는 걸>은 신세대 작곡가이자 SG워너비, KCM, 팀등의 곡을 써온 민명기 작곡가의 곡이어서 더욱 그 빛을 발하고 있다.

제작사인 노랑잠수함은 “양질의 OST는 곧바로 소비자의 주목을 받게 된다. 또한 회생하고 있는 경제와 맞물려 음반시장도 회생하게 되는 기폭제로서의 역할을 하고 싶다”라고 말하며 이번 OST에 대해 자신감을 피력하고 있다.

작년 “아일랜드”와 “오필승봉순영”을 제작했던 <노랑잠수함>의 2005년“원더플라이프”를 첫신호탄으로 10여편의 드라마 OST가 기다리고 있다니 벌써부터 기대가 된다.
