Timeshift by Atari and Saber Games is a thrilling time-bending science-fiction first person shooter set in a futuristic alternate reality filled with impressive graphics that only the Xbox 360 could handle. Timeshift takes place in an alternate reality where time travel is not just a sci-fi pipe dream, but a closely protected government secret. Players step into the role of Michael Swift as he goes back to 1911 to complete a special Chrononaut mission. However, he accidentally changes too much, and upon his return to 2007, he finds evil warlord Krone in power. Somehow, Swift must undo his mistakes and take Krone down. The game takes players across the world, eventually ending in a war-torn Washington, D.C., the seat of Krone's new global empire.

While the game is mainly an FPS, Swift has more than just the usual arsenal of weapons at his disposal. He also has a time travel suit, which allows him to manipulate time. He can slow down, pause, and rewind events as he sees fit - at least until the suit's power runs out. While manipulating time, Swift is invulnerable to attack, allowing players to make use of this power to get around enemies and other obstacles. The time travel twist allows players to think in four dimensions to overcome difficult scenarios and defeat challenging enemies. Of course, with more than 35 combat missions to battle through, Swift also has access to a wide array of unique weapons from varying time periods, including plasma guns, hybrid grenades, full action pistols and the dreaded Swarm Cannon. The next-generation graphics technology, including normal mapping for amazing high-detailed textures and characters as well as parallax lighting, and deep storyline simply come alive in detail.
