One of Diru's greatest works Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ryojoku no Ame is a lovely song consisting of blaring and distorted guitars making really interesting screechy noises funky bass and drum lines and of course, excelent vocals from our beloved Kyo.

...For those who were scarred for life by Clever Sleazoid, the screaming is kept to a minimum, and is only used in two parts of the song. And it's well done, too, so don't worry. Maybe not as well done as Kodou, but...I'll let you decide on that.

Ryojoku no Ame has an snyth-metal feel to it, so fans of the Kisou album (or fans of the synth-metal genre in general) may be interested in it. . .

As for the live tracks, well...I was happy that they had three of my all-time favorite songs on it, but the recording wasn't exactly the greatest quality. The Final probably has the greatest quality of the live songs, followed by Mr. NEWSMAN. That's a really great song, but it sounded better on the six Ugly album, and it's really one of those songs that you have to see live to get all the energy. Die does some backup vocals, though, and that's always a great thing. He has a really great voice, even when he's shouting poorly pronounced English. Even though Higeki... is a lovely and emotional song, with sparkly guitars and whispery vocals, you can barely hear Kyo in some parts, but the emotion he puts into it makes up for it.

Overall, Ryojoku is a GREAT song and shouldn't be missed out on.

Haunting yet Droning Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
This song is truly marvelous. Listen to the intro... this doesn't sound like the Dir en grey we know, not even the Dir en grey of late. The song's lyrics have no repetition, and he sings them beautifully and whisperingly amid the menacing vibe the guitars give off, sometimes to the point of being inaudible, which is really the only thing wrong with the song. I must say it's inferior to CS in some respects though, and the live tracks... better than the ones on CS but still, I wanted something more.

Clever Sleazoid was horrible, let's be real. I had pretty much lost hope for Dir en grey when I heard that mangled mess of a track. They have definitely redeemed themselves, though, by returning to a style more their own in Ryoujoku no Ame. While it doesn't sound like it could have been included on their most recent full-length release (Withering to Death), it still has that Dir en grey flare that we all know and love. The only problem I had with the single was with the live portions. I've heard Kyo perform so much better before, and his performance of The Final, particularly, on this single was almost depressing. Still, Ryoujoku no Ame is enough to make this single worth it, especially if you're seeking a true Dir en grey release to follow the pile of feces that was Clever Sleazoid. Was that even them, really?

Even though a lot of people out there are saying that they're disappointed with Diru's new stuff, I loved this single. Kyo's voice is amazing, like it's always been. The music is great, and it's a song that gets stuck in my head easily and I can listen to again and again. The lives are also very good, I'm not disappointed with this single at all.

Amazing and Beautiful Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I receive my copy of Ryojoku no Ame just yesterday and I LOVE IT!!!! ^_^

The first song, "Ryojoku no Ame", was amazing and beautiful. In no way was it a disappointment.
Kyo's voice is boyond comparison to any other and the musical talent of Kaoru, Die, Toshiya, and Shinya just makes the song even more excellent. I truely enjoyed the music of this song.

Of course it also comes with the three LIVE performances of "The Final", "Higeki Ha Mabuta Wo Oroshita Yasashiki Utsu", and "MR.NEWSMAN". Each were performed wonderfully.
I must say though, I'm overexcited that they had the LIVE version of "Hegeki Ha Mabuta Wo Oroshita Yasashitki Utsu" because Kyo sings that song with such emotion...it blows me away everytime.
