J-pop diva Koda Kumi stormed to new highs in 2006 with her album Black Cherry, which became the best-selling Japanese album of the year. She'll try to repeat the feat in 2008 with her sixth album Kingdom. This highly anticipated album comes bright and early in the year, one week after the release of her 39th single anytime. Koda Kumi's 2007 singles Last Angel feat. Dong Bang Shin Ki, Ai no Uta, BUT, Aisho, and Freaky, as well as the recent CM song Amai Wana, are all included on this 15-track release, along with nine brand new songs. The album showcases the wide range of the singer's musical talents and interests, from cheerful pop to power rock to groovin' R&B, serving up jiving new sounds to the many citizens of the Koda Kumi Kingdom.

This edition comes with a bonus track (full version of Black Cherry introduction) and a DVD containing making of footage and the music videos for all 15 of the album's songs, plus Run For Your Life.

In my opinion, Kingdom is not as good as Koda's previous albums. The videoclips are, in my honest opinion, a boring and they look cheap (exept the videoclips that where put on a single) and I think that has to do with the fact that every songs has a videoclip. As for the songs, they are not as good as the songs on Black Cherry but the Kingdom songs are still fun to listen to.
I would still recommend this album since the First Press comes with nice extras such as the bonus track Black Cherry and Kingdom stickers.
Koda's vocals in the concert are really strong and I really enjoyed watching and listening to the concert and BUT sounds really good.

Moving on to the Kingdom Era!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I've been a fan long enough to know that Ku's musical career moves along in creative eras. Black Cherry rocked us--Her Best Ever?--yet she went through a short haze until we now have her "Kingdom" Era!! Like the last reviewer, I can't wait to hear her new songs, accompanied by all nine PV's.
