From the director of Money's Warfare and The Painter of the Wind, the 2006 SBS romance 101st Proposal is a remake of the classic 1991 Japanese drama 101st Marriage Proposal. Character actor Lee Moon Shik plays a perennial bachelor Dal Jeh, who's gone on more marriage blind dates than he can count, but he still can't find a wife. It's a tough market since he's not young, good-looking, or rich, but he's got his heart in the right place. On his 100th date, he finally meets the perfect girl, 29-year-old announcer Su Jung, played by Park Sun Young (A Farewell to Sorrow). Will he be able to make a successful proposal? Song Chang Ui (Cinderella Man) also co-stars in the drama.

這部描述的是懷抱深深孤獨感、有著傷痛的兩個主角，用愛情治愈心靈的過程。
男主角朴達仔（李文植 飾）是總被使喚的佈置舞臺的木匠，論長相、個子、能力、學歷沒有一個能拿得出手的，性格也是傻乎乎，可是他的心靈卻比任何人都乾淨。在過去13年的歲月裡，他過著被所有女人們拋棄的生活。
有一天，他在相親的地方遇見了充滿魅力的電視臺女主持人韓秀貞（朴宣英 飾）。其實他要相親的對像是另外一個人，跟達仔相親的女人在遠處看到達仔的長相就偷偷逃跑了。秀貞本來也是要跟相親的男人見面，可是卻沒碰到。兩人互相認為對方是自己要相親的對象，所以開始交談。
一開始因為誤解而產生緣分，起初秀貞想避開達仔，可是她看到因為自己的忠告而努力變化自己的達仔，她開始動搖。
秀貞自從失去心愛的人之後就緊緊關閉自己的心門，她從來不談戀愛，只跟男人們保持著同事關係，是一個戀愛障礙者。
達仔是個因為“被詛咒的”外貌經常被女人們拋棄，一次都沒談過戀愛的男人。秀貞是接受三個男人求愛的女人。第一個是三十八歲的老男人朴達仔，第二個是很像自己已死去的初戀燦赫的鄭宇錫，最後一個是在友情和愛情之間苦惱的徐鉉俊，他是秀貞的大學同學，愛神到底會向誰微笑呢？
