‘Run’은 ‘이단옆차기’의 멤버 CHANCE와 ICHIRO SUEZAWA가 버클리 음대 재학 중에 만든 힙합 곡으로,
두 아시아인이 만든 힙합 음악에 당시 버클리 음대 재학생들과 교수님들 사이에서 높이 평가 되었다.
‘이단옆차기’는 ‘Run’을 MBLAQ(엠블랙)만을 위한 편곡으로 재탄생 시켜, 이번 음반의 색을 가장 뚜렷하게 표현하고자 하였다.
후렴부분의 절묘한 멜로디는 이제껏 들어보지 못한 오토튠 에디팅의 극치를 뽐내었으며, 사람의 비명소리를 음악으로 만들어 마치 악기처럼 표현한 절묘한 후렴구는, 어느 누구도 상상하지 못할 새로운 후렴구로 ‘이단옆차기’와 MBLAQ(엠블랙)은 ‘Run’을 통해 제시했다.

50인조의 오케스트라가 대거 참여로 웅장하고 장엄하기까지 한 사운드를 겸비하게 된 ‘전쟁이야’는 강인한MBLAQ(엠블랙)의 자신감 넘치는 퍼포먼스와 노래로 모든 이의 눈과 귀를 사로잡을 것이다.

I receive my copy yesterday! I was a little taken back on how the album all work..i thought the inside can come off..but it isn't a ordinary album it's a big book of gorgeous pictures!!. Lol, i actually like this album they came out super strong with "It's War" I love it! im always blown away every since i purchase "Blaq Style" I was in love with their music right off the bat!. :) I hope they will be able to achieve their dreams and be #1 this year ((((:! Love you MBLAQ! FIGHTTINGG. ~ A must get if your a fan or a new fan ^___^. |

You can tell MBLAQ worked hard to make a lasting, meaningful, and thoughtful album. The tunes are unique; some fun, others powerful, but all fantastic. The MV for "It's War" is an art-form in itself. Simply wonderful. |

I don't know what it's like for you guys, but for me, all of Mblaq's songs & choreography have their own unique style to them. This album is no exception. The boys returned with improved vocal abilities as a whole (and who could resist those charisma?!), and they are holding up on their own despite the absence of mentor Rain. The title track is very catchy with the melancholy orchestral intro that flows seamlessly to Joon's first verse. I especially love the percussion that forms the strong beat. The strings and piano in the background throughout the entire song is brilliant. The MV is really great as well, with the exceptional acting skills of Lee Joon & Thunder was pretty good too. I also like the reference to the movie "Wanted". The choreography of the song is really Mblaq style, I can't quite describe it, but it's a great thing. I especially love how they fused some of the scenes in the story/drama into their choreography eg. when Joon got shot and the shooting gesture. I really love this song, I think it's brilliant over all. I also really like Scribble, the lyrics sounds like it's the continuation of "It's War". It's not quite a ballad, yet it's not a dance track either. It kinda sits in between with a perfect balance. I kinda raped these two songs and neglected the rest of the album, but I do like them. Overall the album is very well done, I am very happy and satisfied with their come back. The boys have undoubtedly improved, and I trust that they will only continue to improve from now on. I cannot wait!! Whether you're an A+ or not, you won't be disappointed by this album (: |

This is the worst production of this new year. There's not a catchy song on the album, not one truly original song nor even one "good" song on it. It's just a collection of the same bling bling so-called art songs we here over and over again from any boyband who "try to shine by their depth and singing abilities". The boys are actually talented and their doing a very good job... but a lame song remains a lame song, not matter who sings it. The production is just messy as can be and too sufficient. All over the album you've got the feel that every effect used is there for the only purpose of trying to impress the listener. Well those bling bling artifacts of instrumentation and high notes coming out of the blue can fool a young listener, but not one's that's been around. The whole instrumentation of the title track, "It's War", was made with no other purpose than saying "yeah! we've got violin and classical piano in our title track, how amazing and different we must be from other dance groups". A very disappointing effort after the group's masterpiece: Mona Lisa. So far, the album is selling poorly in Korea and I'm not surprised. Who would want to listen to that other than a teen girl madly in love with the boys? Considering the boys talents, the whole album is just a waste of their abilities and a feast of absurd and meaningless production. Do not buy this album unless you're a teen or a massive fan of their Cry days which the album tries to be reminiscent of. A big FAIL, but I would still give credit for the boys' vocal work. |
