2008 Urban Simple Life (CD+DVD) DVD Region All

Taiwan's "Urban Simple Life" is a cultural movement, a life attitude, and, a music festival. Originated in 2006, the event advocates living our lives with creativity and simplicity, and assembles a large number of local and overseas artists and musicians to perform unplugged on several stages over the course of two days. To commemorate the second coming of the event, which is held on Dec. 6 and 7, 2008, with the theme of "Simply Smile", the organizer releases this compilation album of 11 original songs, including "Simple Life" by Sodagreen, "Yearning" by Tanya Chua, "Bubbles" by Waa, You'll See by Tizzy Bac, and "Eager to Tell You" by Fusion. The bonus DVD contains select footage recorded during the 2006 event.

簡單生活節在2006年舉辦過第一次之後，讓我們有很多的感動。我們看見了台灣蓬勃的音樂生命，也看到了來自生活中的創意大量的湧現，我們看見了追尋美學夢想的年輕眼神，也看見了平靜與自在的感受正在靜靜的發揮力量。我們希望能邀請你一起，不只是為了兩天的節日，而是我們都能站在一起，為台灣當代年輕的創造力，灌溉更肥沃的土壤。

我們今年的主題是 Simply Smile。這個微笑，是希望能在不管多混亂的環境中，不管全球的資訊多使人迷亂，我們都能記得我們在生活中原本擁有的平靜，親近和堅定。

這個微笑，也希望讓所有的人都知道，在這裡的音樂人，創作者，真正帶給這個世界的，是因為都在做自己喜歡的事，而帶來的快樂。

這個微笑中間的笑意，其實是一個新芽，台灣永遠有無數的創作新芽，帶來一波又一波迷人的人文波濤，我們因為看見永遠蓬勃的新生命而微笑，我們因為自己擁有新生的能力而微笑，我們也因為一起灌溉了新芽而微笑。
