Five months after Romeo, the boys trade in their colorful threads for monochrome tones and sharper, more mature looks that highlight their effortless charm and charisma. SHINee's new title song Ring Ding Dong is a bopping "Afro-electro" number that combines pop electronica and African congo beats. The song likens the moment of falling in love with bells ringing in the head. The mini-album comes with five other hot new songs including leader Onew's first solo number "The Name I Loved" (Track 6), an alternative rock ballad featuring Kim Yeon Woo.

I was so excited to get this in the mail. This mini album was totally worth ten bucks, I would've paid more.
I personally think the packaging is cool and unique! It's long and completely paper. The CD (Which is very pretty itself) is held in the back with some paper flaps. It's not a problem if you're just a little careful, really.
The photos are really amazing! RDD styles were fantastic elastic. (Blonde fringe Jjong, ponytail Minho, mushroom Taem, rainbow bangs Key and JUST EPIC Onew hair?! Sigh *Melt* The Jojo outfits were ADORABLE, too) Anyway, I love looking through it. It's a really good photobook! One of my favorites, out of the five or so that I have.
Regarding the actually songs, this is probably my favorite mini album. I fell in love with Y.O.U, listening to it makes me really happy. Ring Ding Dong of course was unforgettable. Jonghyun's "BABYY" in the first two seconds sends me reeling from the epicness. Jo Jo is, legitimately, a very good song. It could've been a single on its own. Minho's little rap in English! Ah! Get Down makes me laugh :3 Though I'm not much of a luna fan,
it's cool! SHINee Girl is ADORABLE. Makes me want to dance with a cane and a top hat. And it sounds dedicated to all of their lovely fans, so I melt. Onew has a really beautiful voice, so I enjoyed the last track, too!
ALL IN ALL, GOOD ONE. Get it. (Get it, ON.)

The name I loved... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I love the EP, it was amazing and totally showed big improvements of SHINee♡.

At first, I just couldn't stand Y.O.U. (Year Of Us), I thought it was just a huge lack of melody, but then the soft, gentle chorus with the repeating 'Nothing can stop me from loving you, you, you, you...' slowly got into me and made me feel so warm inside. It's really sweet and worth listening to :).

Ring Ding Dong had already been a huge hit it is, so I won't say much about the song, but I just wanna say SHINee surely rang the bell in my heart :x. Our boys are the best :3

Jo Jo was really a great song with the familiar melody of SHINee's R&B tracks, but this time fresher and more addictive. The melody was catchy and the lyrics were beautiful. It's a song that doesn't need an actual MV to be a hit :)

I don't really like Get Down since I just can't find a way to get all those hard-core hip hop down my throat and especially because I didn't like Luna's vocal appearance. Would've been better if it was Krystal or anyone. Still, I support our rapper duo ㅋㅋㅋ.

SHINee Girl was a fun song to listen, and even funnier to think the song was dedicated to ShaWols LOL. The melody was unique, and happy, and very refreshing. That so I supposed the lyrics must also be really sweet and brightful, and yes I'd say I like the song a lot :).

'내가 사랑했던 이름' was simply a beautiful track and is my absolute favourite track from this EP and it's not just because I'm Onew-biased! Both Onew and Mr. Kim Yeonwoo had warm, gentle vocals and they just perfected the smooth, soothing melody. Listening to the song makes me feel a little sad, but not in a bad way. I could really feel the song, and it was just like a sweet voice singing about those subtle, beautiful, lost memoirs faraway we all hold inside our hearts, seen through the mist of time and abandonment... It's just so painfully wonderful and beautiful at the same time...

About the CD packaging, first I just wanna say I love the boys' outfits. Thumbs up for the stylists this time for doing such a wonderful work! I love the dark, cold, vampire like concept, and the boys' expressions were just perfect! They looked sexy, chic and so darkly charismatic. Our boys are always the best ♡

Overall, amazing EP. An absolute must-have for ShaWols :3. Especially MVPs like me XD

These kids know how to make music.

Out of all the songs I only disliked one. That's pretty impressive! These days it seems like I only like 20% of the songs on any album I like but not this time! Yay!

Shinee definitely makes Shinee music!

Ring ding dong, I think will forever be Shinee's best song, catchy and powerful with rich complex electro arrangement. It will be very hard for them to come up with another song to top that. The video will boost the impression even better. All 8pts are given to this song. One down side about the cd, the recording volume seems to be turned up too high causing some notes to burst a little bit, you'll find this song to be exceptionally louder than others.

I really like this album!! The songs are great. My favorite songs are Ring Ding Dong, Jojo and The Name I Loved. I like how the order of the songs are: it starts with fast pace songs then finishes up with a ballad song. It helped me to calm my "fan-girl-nism". Hahaha!!! However, I do not like the package because it feels "cheap". It is not solid so I have to be very careful to not damage the photobook and the cd. Anyway, the pictures were great!
