Excellent!
| Well, I've had this album since it's release, but I never got around to writing a review for it, so I'm going to now. This is an amazing album by Maki! She really has some talent behind her and even the little insert booklet's a nice touch. Some very nice photos of her in it. Her voice works wonders with both the tunes and the lyrics of each songs. A couple make me cry and others just make me wanna get up and dance. Wonderful job Maki! |

Gocchin wa kakkoi!
| I loved this cd so much! Maki has such a wonderful voice! This cd gives you fast paced, dance songs and slow songs as well! I enjoyed every single song. I would have to say that track two is the best. The lyrics and her voice are so beautiful! This cd is worth buying! I loved how she has matured, this cd is different from the other cd's. This is a must get for Maki fans! |

Definitely interesting...
| I am a listener who actually has never bought anything by Goto Maki before, so I wasn't sure what I'd get. I must say, her voice is delightful...a pure soprano (I enjoy high voices so I can sing along) yet rich and happy. She sounds as though she's smiling while singing most of the tracks, and that is definitely an infectious trait! The ONLY song I do NOT like in any way at all is the very first one. The lyrics aren't bad...but I really, truly don't like the guy whispering in the background. I know some say it's sexy, but I find it distracting and not in tone with the rest of the CD. I buy solo female singers to HEAR solo female singers, and I must say the trend of men rapping or whispering in the background is quite irritating. The good thing, is that this track is #1 and thus very easy for me to skip to get to the rest of this CD which is AMAZING. I absolutely adore it all (although that same guy seems to briefly reappear in the chorus of track 5 for a bit...). I wish these fabulous female singers would stick to their OWN vocals and style without adding men. And it seems the men are always on songs that don't "fit" the rest of the CD...which is totally the case with track 1 and 5 on this disk. I must say though...I am a new Goto Maki fan. This girl is talented beyond belief and I will buy anything else she releases. She's delightful and you can feel her passion for her singing through the CD player. Singing is obviously not a job or idle profession for her...it is her life's blood and what she was meant to do and she knows it. Perfect. Keep the music coming, Goto Maki! I will be here to buy. |

The CD immediately opens up with a song that will confuse Maki's fans and listeners alike. Ekizo Disco is an original and very erotic/ sexy song that is actually whispered by Goto Maki. Still, variety is a very good thing and Ekizo Disco does not disappoint. It might take a few listens, but let this song grow on you and you will understand why Ekizo Disco was given the honor of being the first song. The beautiful and touching song, Sayonara 'Tomodachi niwa Naritakunai no' then follows to remind listeners the beauty and uplifting sound of Maki's voice. Yokohama Shinkirou plays next in order to keep you hooked with its energetic guitar riffs. What follows next are a very good arrangement of songs; from the slow and relaxing sounds of Singapore Transit, to the childish and oriental sounds of Rairai! Koufuku. Basically, a fast song is followed by a slow song and vice versa. This simple arrangement prevents listeners from getting bored, and makes it a lot easier to listen through the whole CD each play. Diverse, flawless tracklist, and obvious risk taking are all contained in Maki's 3rd album. I am honored to give this CD my highest recommendation to new Goto Maki fans and J-Pop fans alike. |
