I think that alot of these reveiws are wrong. Koda kumi is a great artist and i do believev that she can rock. i think that all of these songs on this single are great! the lyrics are great. I don't think that people know how hard it is to keep a image in Japan and to keep popular! koda kumi had a very rough begining and if this is what she has to do to keep her career i will still support her without dout!
This single is a great buy

Kumi has reached a very strong point in her career, and the hard work she has put into it has payed off. Kumi's sexual image may not appeal to everyone, but I hope people realize that it was necessary for her to become popular. I don't know much about the first stages of her career, but she was never really popular until an agent suggested the "ero-kakoii" image for her. Otherwise, AVEX probably would've kicked her out because of the poor sales of her releases. I think she's going to progressively gain more input in terms of her wardrobe and her songs. Whether or not she decides to keep the image is up to her, but without a doubt, Kumi has worked very hard to achieve the most popular female singer award, and I think she deserves more credit for it. Apart from Ningyo hime, the other three songs maintain similar styles to her past songs. Each song is quite decent in their own ways, and I don't mind Ningyo hime. I don't recall ever listening to a rock song from her, but I appreciate that she's experimenting with new styles. I've never really been interested in Kumi, but I think that's starting to change.

Juicy over all is a typical Kumi song. The video is a little much even for me...She goes into a bar, dances around like a stripper and all she wants is... to steal a treasure map?

With Your Smile is a good song, I liked it better when I got to watch it with the PV though. Kumi continues her treasure hunt and finds 3 pieces to make a triangle and gets chased by people...

I'll Be There is also a good song and Kumi spends most of the video in front of a green screen on a 'beach'. This video lacks in moving the plot of the videos forward until Kumi finds a book in the water at the end titled "Ningyo Hime."

Ningyo Hime is probably my least favourite song. Kumi can't sing rock and there are MANY blatant rip offs in this video. There's really nothing original about it. The SONG even sounds like it belongs to Namie Amuro. There was a couple of moves that she did with her hands that were so OBVIOUSLY from BoA's "Listen to My Heart" video. She wears only sparkles at one point like Britney Spears, and her hair with the odd creepy figures reminds me of Ayu's "Alterna" video.

Over all, this single is okay... none of the songs stand out as really GREAT to me. Even though Koi no Tsubomi only had 1 song, that single is probably better value to me since I love that song. So what, Kumi can release 4 new songs on a single and it's only been proved that by doing so she divided the quality and creativity of her last single into 4 parts and came up with this single. It will only be a distant memory in a short time.

 Koda Kumi's minimal effort Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
I'm more disappointed in what Koda Kumi has been doing lately. Koda Kumi has become REDICULOUSLY sexual in the last year or so and it's just been downhill. Along with her ~second session~ album, this single shows just how little work Kumi is putting into her songs anymore.
I was most dissapointed with the song 'ningyohime'. It is a very nice and catchy rock tune that could have easily been the best track on the album, weren't it for Koda Kumi herself. Kumi does NOT have the singing voice for rock. Her voice just sounds screechy and overworked in this song.
Also, none of the songs lyrics are anything special either. It's been a good year or two since she's written anything meaningful.
Koda Kumi HAS talent. So why doesn't she show it anymore? The only thing Kumi is showing these days is her chest.

I have heard all the song on this single and i must say wow! Ku really put her effort into this as she always does!
Ningyohime- is a great song with a cathy rock beat to
it!
With your smile- is a cute song great for summer.it is a great pop song!
Juicy- One of the best R+B Songs to date, from ku
I'll Be there- a very cathy song i love the lyrics, the main chorus is the best and very cute!

I listened to the single this morning and it is great! Juicy is a great hip-hop song, Ningyo hime is great for a rock song from Kumi. I'll Be There can get stuck in your head and cute for a pop song. With Your Smile is not a new song but this version has a better sound. All in all this is a have for any Kumi fan and it has all her styles in it!

This single seems totally incredible.
First of all the tracklist looks very promising with the 3 interludes and 4 PVs + MAROC making of (bonus first press).

On the other hand, the previews already heard seem really great.
- JUICY sounds like an awesome rnb song comparable to the best tracks of her 4th album : secret.
- With your smile is totally catchy. It's a really good summer song.
- Ningyo Hime is such an awesome song or at least the preview. The chorus is really powerful, something like Selfish...
- I'll be there sounds a bit generic from the preview that i've heard but i'm sure that the full version will be good.


To conclude, i think this single is just her best single so far and the best summer single from this year. Good job Kuu, you're the queen.

Well while most Koda fans would've alread heard I'll Be There and With Your Smile, Juicy and Ningyohime are brand new and well they look very good!
There are Previews of Juicy out as well as a peak at the PV and it looks very interesting.
I would certainly suggest this to anyone.
