Exquisite Leon Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Always been a fan. His singing is superb, music is superb, vocals and melody is superb. The only thing bad about him is he releases albums so slowly nowdays it kills US! :P

Unexpectedly pleasant Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I received this latest CD from my cousins living in HK when they came to visit. God knows when my last Leon Lai CD purchase was. I was never a great fan (except that he's a cutie, I never thought much about his singing/acting abilities - exception: his turn with Maggie Cheung in Comrades: a Love Story).

He interpreted near-competently (my idol) Jacky Cheung's numbers. Of his own 4 songs, I love "Wish You Will Not Go Away Tonight" (from a 1993 TV series with Faye Wong!). On Aaron's songs, his duet with Janice is refreshing and I will admit I listened to his "Water of Forget" several times because it surpasses Andy Lau's version!, mainly because his Mandarin enunciation is fautless.

Kudos really go to the arrangers and producers. A must-buy who relishes the 90s when the 4 kings ruled the HK-popdom.

Leon's big gamble pays off! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
"4 in Love" is such a great concept that the other three Heavenly Kings all must be wondering, "Why didn't I think of that?" By remaking the 1990s hits of the other kings of Canto-pop, Leon Lai was assured that he would be working with well-written songs that already are beloved by the public.

On the other hand, "4 in Love" was a huge risk. People might not like hearing their sentimental favorites radically rearranged. Moreover, Leon's singing of the songs inevitably will be compared to the singing of the originals.

I'm happy to report that Leon has pulled off a greater success than anyone could have anticipated. Some of the results literally are stunning. I practically fell out of my chair the first time I heard track 3; I never expected that my favorite Jacky Cheung romantic ballad could sound good set to a ska beat with hip hop window-dressing, but it does!

Tremendous credit must go to the arrangers of these songs. It is not easy to deconstruct familiar melodies and put them back together in ways that sound fresh and exciting, but the task has been performed wonderfully well on this album. And the album simply sounds great. The playing is masterful, Leon is in fine voice, and the recording is crystal clear.

Whether you are a fan of old 1990s Canto-pop or a fan of the contemporary scene, you assuredly will fall in love with "4 in Love." I highly recommend it.

Great CD Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Leon's cover versions of the four "Heavenly Gods" most famous songs are pretty good. I like the musical arrangements and each song was unique. It was like listening to some of my favorite songs from the 90s all over again for the first time. Nice surprise.

Highly Anticipated! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I think all Leon fans should support this CD. Leon has focused more on his acting career in the last few years and this CD is a real treat for all his die-hard fans. Even non-Leon fans should check out this CD seeing that he pays tribute to the 4 Heavenly Kings.
