In 2002, singer-songwriter Saito Kazuyoshi released the album 35 Stones, named because he was at the age of 35 at the time of release. Nearly 10 years later, Kazuyoshi - now 45 years old - releases his 15th studio album 45 Stones. Recorded after the March 2011 disasters in northeastern Japan, 45 Stones is a personal album that expresses Kazuyoshi's thoughts in the post-disaster world. In addition to the digital single Amayadori, the album also features a self-cover of Niji ga Kierumade, originally written for Koizumi Kyoko.

First Press Edition comes with a bonus CD with two bonus tracks and live performances from two different studio lives.
