　　《男人之苦》第22集，黑澤明《七俠四義》、《留芳頌》愛將志村喬第三度登場，亦是最後一次，繼續飾演寅次郎妹夫博的父親「風炎」一郎。另外，當時以「毒舌」聞名的八卦節目主持泉品子亦於片中爆笑演出；寅次郎的女神則由純情美人大原麗子擔演。今集講到寅次郎與佛有緣，他在途上屢遇高僧，又在信州巧遇「風炎」一郎，老人家慨嘆生無樂事，指點寅次郎多讀古代寓言，三思人生。寅次郎被曉以大義，馬上返回柴又老家，與「寅記」上下分享人生意義，並打算展開修道之旅。豈料，他正打算出門之際，碰上「寅記」新請來的店員早苗（大原麗子飾）。寅次郎立即回心轉意，取消行程，當他得知早苗正打算與丈夫離婚時，心情更是忐忑。寅次郎全心全力協助早苗重過新生活，兩人感情大躍進，誰知突然殺出一個青梅竹馬的表哥……冥冥中似乎註定寅次郎失戀收場，善哉善哉。

　　The 22nd instalment in the Tora-san series. Shimura Takashi of "Seven Samurai" and "Ikiru" appears for the third and final time in the Tora-san series. Tora-san encounters a high priest for several times on the road. He also meets his brother-in-law's father, Hyouichiro Suwa, who keeps sighing for his boring old life. He advices Tora-san to read more fables of the ancient times, and meditate on his own life. When Tora-san comes back home, he shares his experiences with his family and begins his religious journey. However, he cancels his journey as soon as he sees the new employee, Sanae. Sanae is planning a divorce with her husband. Tora-san helps her with her new life and the two of them hit it off immediately. Unfortunately, her cousin appears and Tora-san is destined to lose his love again.

Tora and the divorcee Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
"Tora-San's Talk of the Town" is the 22nd film in the Tora-San series. The film opens with a hilarious dream sequence featuring "Tora Buddha" showering riches and good health on Tora's relatives. The movie's main storyline involves a beautiful young woman named Sanae who comes to work at the Toraya sweet shop. She is embraced by Tora's entire family and Tora, naturally, falls in love with her.

Much to everyone's surprise, it turns out that she has been in a loveless marriage and is getting a divorce. (The film touches on, but does not develop, the theme of a woman seeking a divorce from her husband whom she believes to be a good and decent man, but does not love.) Sanae rocks Tora's world when she tells him that she likes him. But Tora is not the only man smitten by Sanae's charms; her cousin has loved her since they were children and now hopes that he may have a chance with her. Who will end up with the girl, Tora or the cousin? How this triangle is resolved is one of Tora's shining moments.

Also a treat for fans of this series is a sequence in which, during his travels, Tora encounters Hiroshi's father. This odd couple always is a source for comic gold, as the dour, bookish old man finds enjoyment in Tora's endless pleasure-seeking and Tora finds in the old man a bottomless well of wisdom from which Tora draws deeply ... until he gets distracted by the next pretty face.

"Tora-San's Talk of the Town" is a slight, but very enjoyable, film. I recommend it for a general audience.
