　　小女孩昌子（若命真裕子飾）在填海區玩泥沙時感染了破傷風，這個死亡率極高的重病令昌子身體不時抽搐，連口也張不開。被女兒咬傷指頭的父親昭（渡瀨恆彥飾）一邊承受被感染的恐懼，一邊照顧女兒；母親邦江（十朱幸代飾）看著愛女接受各種痛苦的治療方法，精神開始出現問題…一家三口活在死亡的陰霾下。

　　幽陰可怕的病房、女孩抽搐時間的驚叫、治療時血花四濺，以真實的人情戲劇形式拍出令人透不過氣的恐怖感，被推舉為日本版《驅魔人》﹗

　　Masako, a five-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Chiba, gets a tiny scratch on her finger while playing with mud in a marsh. After that, she suffered all kinds of horrible spasms including biting her tongue. The doctor checks on her for hours on end and arrive at the conclusion that she has Tetanus - a microorganism that held sway on earth many hundred millions years ago. It seems like devil has come to dwell in the little girl's body. Her parents, Akira and Kunle, have to bear the sufferings of their child and face the fear that they might also be the victims of Tetanus.

The once peaceful family has changed completely and the three have been cast into a bottomless Hell....
