I don't know why, but when I watched this movie, it reminds me of Rocky, of course the whole story line isn't same. Different is Roky is successful ending but this one is Tiger dies, just like ordinary Chinese movie ending. But it's good movie, you don't waste your time to watch it! I liked it. |

Great Andy Lau movie
|
I thought this movie was a really good drama...I think is the category. Andy Lau's character is really laidback in the film and I think he did a great job portraying that image... I really liked the Japanese, ithink she was, actress in it too. She was really cute and also helped me further enjoy the movie. The ending scene brought tears to my eyes which was weird cuz I really do the mushy thing... There's not really a whole lot of action in the movie so if you are into loud flash and booms throughout the course of a movie, this isn't your thing otherwise, try it, its a great movie. |

Andy Lau at his best....
|
This is Andy's best performance ever. A true love/drama between father and daughter. On top of that the love scenes are slowly touching yet beautifully ending with unforgetable. Like Andy said;"BOX TIL THE END". A highly recommended Andy film. One of Andy's best drama since "A TRUE MOB STORY". Overall, this is adorably and touching indeed. |

Touching and romantic
|
It's a very touchign and romantic movie. For any love-movie goers, this is a definate see. Andy and Takako are both good in the movie. Although I do find Andy's acting towards the end of the movie seems to be slipping from time. Nonetheless, Andy looks very handsome in the movie (for all Andy fans). One thing I have to say about Takako is her skills to speak a foreign language and sound believable. She did quite well in speaking cantonese and doesn't sound like she's reciting sounds off a board. Her acting, like always in Japanese drama, are cute and sensetive. She also looks very nice in the film (for all Takako fans..). The plot was OK. It is very similar to many romantic movies. However, the parts of father-daughter relationship was interesting. They had moments of explosive disagreement and a great sense of love as well. The love relationship between Andy and Takako seems to be overpowered by the one of Andy and Pim. But there were couple of touching and beautiful scene of them. The cinematography of this film is beautiful though. Quite an entertaining movie. Remember to prepare tissues when you watch this movie. A good buy. |

Chinese Rocky meets Raging Bull

Andy gives another great performance. The movie stretches pretty long in the middle but moves along petty well. The camera shots and angles made the movie look like it was a photo shoot. This is a movie more than kickboxing but simply about finally realizing that u have to give it ur all. |

Like Always, You Roxors, Andy!!!
|
I love this movie because simply Andy is a good actor and a singer and hehe...Takako is great. Andy and Takako did a beautiful job at acting out their roles and the plot of the movie is excellent. Well there are certain things in the movie that can be improved, mainly the audio, but they are all the producer's fault. OK first off the dubbing of the movie is kinda chunky. I thought it was caused by the VCD because we all know that the VCD quality arent the best, so I tried DVD thinking that with something digital I cant lose. Secondly the fighting scenes are cool, but could be better if cool sound effects were added. If you saw the movie Fight Club, you'll know what I'm taking about. At last why did they dubbed Takako's voice, her voice is so sweet and sexy just think about the Beautiful Life and Moonlight Express. |
