Best known as Jay Chou's trusted mixer and good friend, Gary Yang was the original founding member of Taiwan pop group Nan Quan MaMa, but he was content staying out of the spotlight, so he left the group and concentrated on working behind the scenes instead. Nevertheless, being a talented singer-songwriter himself, Gary has won attention for his guest appearance on the track "Wandering Poet" on Jay's recent album Capricorn. And after his well-received digital EP last year, he's now going back in front of the mic again to write music lovers A Love Letter! Gary's debut solo album comes with 12 songs of different styles he composed, including the jazzy number "Moonlight" featuring a verse sung by Jay, and the album first plug "Havana", a hip-hop-style salsa tune allegedly inspired by the film Buena Vista Social Club.
