Avex's annual summer event a-nation has come to its eighth year in 2009! This year, the massive outdoors live tour took place in five cities (Kumamoto, Ehime, Aichi, Tokyo, and Osaka) for a total of seven concerts. J-pop's elite acts, such as TRF, Everything Little Thing, Hamasaki Ayumi, Do As Infinity, Koda Kumi, Otsuka Ai, Suzuki Ami, TVXQ, AAA, GIRL NEXT DOOR, hitomi, and BoA were assembled for the Tokyo Stadium gigs on August 22nd and 23rd, where this Live DVD was shot. Numerous popular supporting acts like Goto Maki, TRIPLANE, J-Min, moumoon, and alan are also featured. The DVD includes the a-nation '09 documentary and backstage footage.

First Press Limited Edition comes in a deluxe boxset with a T-shirt.

The performances which are on here are all quite good. There's also many good artists and we finally see BoA back at a-nation. However, there's only 1 of each person except for Ayu who has a complete 8! I may love Ayu, but I also love many of these artists as well. But it's not about who I love. It's the fact that a-nation is a music festival filled with many great and popular artists! It's Not An Ayumi Concert With A Bunch Of Special Guests! Then there's the a-nation '09 Live Digest, which is just short clips where you only see like maybe half(if lucky) of that artist's song performed, which is real dumb in my opinion. And there's some wonderful artists on that Live Digest list, like alan and Nana Tanimura. Avex really needs to smarten up with these a-nation DVD Releases in the future. To be perfectly honest, and I know it's asking a bit much, but personally, I'd love to see all of everyone's full performances released on a DVD or Bluray Boxset even though I realize what the cost of it would be. So on the whole, I'd great say to just avoid this release. It's just not worth it. The only thing I did overly like was the cover....

 Only 1 Dong Bang Shin Ki song? Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
I was going to preorder this but it only has one DBSK performance on it and just 1 AAA, Alan, and BoA performance. The rest is 8 Ayumi performances and a few of those were already broadcasted on TV! Only get this if your a huge Ayumi fan, otherwise its not worth the price.
