yasashii Matsu!!
| Facets of love, gentleness and warmth were the feelings I had after listening to this CD. The sweet longing for one's love is echoed in "Koishii Hito" while "Another birthday" reminds us of the memories we share with the special one... Generally, "A Piece of Life" collects more of Matsu's yasashii ballads, tunes that are soulful and sings of innocent love. Unlike her previous albums like "Ai no Tobira" or "Sora no Kagami", this CD has lesser fast numbers.. a faster track that I enjoy is Sha La La though. I also recommend "Chin Chou Ge" and "Yubi Saki". Sugei! I've always liked Takako's lyrics, since the days when she wrote "I stand Alone" and this album too have similar songs that rings of independence. =) One thing that I've noticed too is that Takako's songs like to carry the image of wind, "kaze" in "Yasashii kaze" or the later single "Hana no Youni" or previously in "I stand Alone" and "WIND Song".. Au naturel..with elements like flowers, birds, wind and rain.. Matsu Takako is my favourite artise with a gentle touch. She has definitely succeeded in bringing the softer and warmer side of life to her song and lyrics. You will want to listen to the CD over and over again! |
