A touching drama on homosexuality and its social consequences in modern urban Hong Kong, A Queer Story pairs screen favorite George Lam with popular young actor Jordan Chan. The two are gay lovers with wildly divergent lifestyles. Law Kar Sing (George Lam) is a closeted forty year-old who's mild-mannered and shy. His lover Sunny (Jordan Chan) is flamboyant and open about his sexuality, and is initially willing to tolerate his lover's desire for secrecy. However, with their lives and those of fellow homosexuals gaining greater scrutiny, Sing may not be able to keep things under wraps for much longer. Featuring a stellar cast, including Shu Qi, Anita Yuen, Francis Ng, Christine Ng, Kristy Yang, and Waise Lee, A Queer Story combines earnest romantic drama with topical social commentary ?a true rarity for a modern Hong Kong film.

　　四十六歲的羅家聲（林子祥）是一名隱蔽的同性戀者，與他青梅竹馬的女友談麗泉（伍詠微）從加拿大回來，要求他在感情上作一了斷；但他與現在男友Sonny感情愈來愈深。但任性的Sonny郤不肯放棄多姿多采的夜生活和被人追求的「虛榮感」，遂教羅產生恐懼感。此時羅的好友甘永烈（毛俊輝）患愛滋病逝世。甘的家人請羅勸諭甘的同性戀人，江國強（吳鎮宇）在葬禮上避席，以防被傳媒渲染。Sonny獲悉內情，與江硬闖靈堂，Sonny與羅最後因此分手。羅為求逃避，竟向泉求婚，泉欣然接受！然而故事並未因此而完結，好戲不過剛剛開始……
