大人気ロックバンド、ユニコーンのキーボーディスととして個性を発揮し、バンド解散後はソロ・アーティストとして活動する阿部義晴。氣志團の音楽プロデューサーとしても高い評価を得ている。2006年、阿部義晴生誕40周年記念行事として企画された『阿部義晴 音楽祭 2006〜仲間とノリノリ40祭〜』は、9月21日大阪、22日横浜、そして24日に阿部の故郷である山形で行われた。本作には、山形での最終公演の模様を収録。奥田民生、SPARKS GOGO、氣志團の西園寺瞳、元ジュン・スカイ・ウォーカーズの宮田和弥と元ユニコーンの川西幸一を中心に結成された"ジェット機"など、豪華メンバーが参加。ソロでの楽曲からユニコーン時代のヒット曲まで、ファン感涙、熱狂のステージが繰り広げられている。
