If you only had one month left to live, where would you go? After Calmi Cuori Appassionati, Crying Out Love in the Center of the World, and Be With You, another popular Osaki Yoshio novel, Adiantum Blue, makes it to the silver screen. Abe Hiroshi (Trick) stars as jaded adult magazine editor Ryuji who falls in love with Yoko (Matsushita Nao, Sunadokei), a photographer whose pictures are as pure as her heart. These two very different people begin a new life together, but their happiness is short-lived as Yoko is diagnosed with terminal illness. With only one month left together, Yoko and Ryuji choose to spend their final days in Nice, France. Like its predecessors, Adiantum Blue, directed by Fujita Akiji (Last Love), draws eyes with beautiful people in beautiful places, and pulls hearts with a story of pure, undying love.
