As a companion piece to his latest album Opus 69, "Mando-pop Godfather" David Tao has written, directed, starred in, and scored his first film, the feature-length romantic drama Adoration, which was premiered in Taipei on September 6 (note the connection to 6 and 9). The film cost NTD10 million to make, and stars popular TV actress Cheryl Yang (My Queen) opposite David Tao in the bittersweet story of a secret love that lasted for seven years. David Tao wrote the story partly based on his own experience, and he re-arranged 3 songs from Opus 69 for the score of the film, including the title theme "Adoration", "Zero to Hero", and Play.
