This is a great Tunisian crochet stitch guide. The last six pages provide illustrations that anyone who doesn't read Japanese (like me!) can use to understand the stitch symbols. Since in the U.S., Tunisian crochet stitch symbols aren't standardized, you may not be familiar with the symbols. The Japanese Knit and Crochet Pattern Help blog also has a helpful post if you are new to Tunisian crochet stitch symbols (google it since you can't add links to reviews on YesAsia). The book contains 100 stitch patterns which include several with colorwork, one cabled stitch, some lace, and many with great texture. The photos of the swatches are very clear and large. The illustrations are probably not enough to teach you Tunisian crochet, but if you are familiar with the basic stitches you will likely prefer this stitch guide to others available in the U.S. |
