A month after the release of her 50th single, J-pop goddess Koda Kumi is back with her 51st single Ai wo Tomenaide. The song is a touching ballad that follows the tradition of hit Kumi ballads like Suki de Suki de Suki de and Ai no Uta. It will also serve as the theme song of the film Second Virgin. The single includes You are Not Alone, an encouragement song written after the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami, as the B-side track.

This edition includes the live version of You are Not Alone. It comes with a bonus DVD with the Ai wo Tomenaide music video.

Another beautiful ballad Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I'll be honest: When I first heard the preview of 'Ai wo Tomenaide', I was a little skeptical, which doesn't happen very often with Koda Kumi albums. But the full version? Absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Once again, she shows off her powerful vocals and delivers a power ballad to be hailed. In many ways, it reminds me of Aisho (from BUT/Aisho single, or her Kingdom album, if you don't keep track with her singles).

Now, the main reason I bought this version is because I was desperate to hear the [Strings Version] and [Music Box Version] to Anata dake ga, since I believe the song to be her most romantic and beautiful ballad since Yume no Uta. The versions are gorgeous. To be honest, the [Strings Version] sounds like it should have been on her BEST ~BOUNCE & LOVERS~ album as a rearrangement (I know that was ages ago). It makes the song have a very classic and orchestra feel - much how she sings the song live.

Then the [Music Box Version] is stunningly amazing. It's similar to an [Orgel Version], but with vocals. To be honest, I wish it would have just been an [Orgel Version]. I love Koda Kumi's voice in this, but having vocals in this type of version takes away the effect somewhat.

Still, 10/10 and highly recommended to ANY Koda Kumi fan!
