The second Aiko purchase for me...
The second Aiko purchase for me...
|
FIRST: I would like this CD better if it hadn't been delivered to me by this site DAMAGED. They sent it with a HUGE crack across the front cover. SECOND: I bought this CD based on another Aiko CD and am not dissapointed. She seems to have grown and matured musically, while retaining that lovely and flexible high soprano voice. THIRD: I said this on my previous review of another Aiko CD...she is MUCH MORE rock than pop. Both of her CDs I own are VERY quitar and drum-driven. Which is OK...I like quitar and drums. But, I did want to warn other people considering this CD that it is NOT mellow at all. It's upbeat and fun and GREAT...but definately not something to relax to. This is what you want to hear on a bad day. Aiko will lift you up and she keeps her songs English-free which I admire. She stays true to herself and her style and her heritage. She's rare, and if you like high soprano voices that are NOT annoying at all, but are merely youthful and clear...then Aiko is for you. I think she is really good. I will buy more CDs from her whenever she releases a new one. OH...and the photos in the lyric booklet are adorable. She's pretty AND she can sing. She also WRITES her own songs, which is admirable. I think it shows a great talent to write one's own words...even though they were arranged by someone else. I highly reccommend Aiko. You'll buy more and more by her once you buy once! |
