Based on renowned writer Oda Sakunosuke's 1940 short story Meoto Zenzai, Aki Fukaki is a rare drama from horror and pink eiga director Ikeda Toshiharu (The Man Behind the Scissors). Starring Yashima Norito (Thirty Lies or So) and Sato Eriko (Funuke Show Some Love, You Losers!), the film explores the values of life and love through the experiences of a married couple who are faced with trials of heart and health.

Middle school teacher Satoru (Yashima Norito) and bar hostess Kazuyo (Sato Eriko) fall in love, and make the walk to the altar after a quick courtship. Satoru, however, can't get over the fact that Kazuyo has had many relationships with men in the past, and has to struggle to keep his jealousy under control. One day, Kazuyo begins to feel a pain in her breasts. While she is at the hospital, Satoru discovers a postcard written to Kazuyo from another man.
