May 21, 2007 PowerfulIts almost one of those movies that opens your eyes to the very real thing that is happening around the world, even in our verr own backyards.
The performances from Andy Lau and Daniel Wu were spectacular, so into the character; dragged down to the underworld. I do admit though it was very interesting to see Andy Lau play this type of character; all the other movies I have seen him in were where he played a guy on the right side of the tracks.
I was rather moved at the end of the movie and impressed with how powerful it was; it never really showed a good fun side of drugs.
Wonderful works boys & girls ^_^Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

I enjoyed the movie quite a lot but at times it did seem to jump about a bit. If you don't mind watching people killing people; some interesting death scenes, this is for you.
On another note it does touch upon some very serious issues, which can't just be fixed by taking what 'you see' as the problem away.

Fighter in the Wind DTS
December 6, 2006 Interesting insightThis movie was definently an interesting watch, while it took a little bit to get into groove of things it was a great watch. While it isn't completely accurate (have you ever seen a movie about a real person ever acurate?) it does show a lot of aspects of what life was like for Korean's living in Japan in that era.
The movie kept true to the type of living they had living amungst each other. The animosity towards each other, this is certainly a very important part of the movie. If this was not portried right it would not seem right.
While there are so many serious issues in this movie it does seem to keep light hearted in some of the fight scenes which keep things rather pleasent.
I think its a wonderful tribute to such a great person (even if he would possibly not consider himself on)...A very enjoyable watch, a must see!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
